hai dill,

kayuh tetap macam biasa.

aku dah perati, dah kaji. aku tak boleh nak join w2r ke, jomkayuh ke. sebab diaorang punya "slow" pun laju gila pada aku. basikal pulak bukan main-2 punya. rim depan dia aje dah boleh beli 2-3 bijik basikal macam aku. aku tau diaorang friendly dan tak kisah kita pakai basikal cap apa. tapi aku rasa aku tak boleh ikut la.

aku kayuh cuma sekadar nak keluar peluh dan melonggarkan otot aje. tapi nak la jugak keep up dengan teknologi sikit. nak belajar pasal gear tu pun sebab aku rasa tak guna la aku beli basikal ada gear kalau tak reti guna kan?

sekarang ni aku nak tanya pasal pedal dan kasut pulak. ada kepentingan ke pakai cycling shoes ni? aku ada baca sikit-2 kat internet bahawa mengayuh ni bukan sekadang aktiviti menolak pedal dengan kaki. tapi jugak menarik menarik pedal tu sewaktu kaki berada dibawah. kalau nak pakai cycling shoes, kena la tukar pedal ek?

hi..agegold..

tak kesah la dapat join ke tak..yg penting aktiviti kayuh mesti jln..itu baik untuk kesihatan..basikal ni tak perlu berteman..sorang pun boleh lakukan..cukup mudah..kalau nak compare dgn sukan lain spt badminton, tenis dsb..

ada byk perbezaan dlm rentak kayuhan bila kita memakai 'cycling shoe'nih..kaki kita akan melekat kat pedal..Kita akan berasa lebih selesa bila membuat penekanan terutama ketika menaiki bukit..cuma ia perlu ambil masa untuk membiasakan kaki menggunakannya..sbb kalau ada emergency jikalau kita lambat menanggalkanya  kita akan terjatuh..Pedal mmg kena tukar kalau nak pakai cycling shoe kerana dia berbeza dgn pedal biasa.

Teknik menarik narik pedal tu..mmg selalu digunakan..terutama ketika mendaki bukit kerana dia dpt memberi momentun kayuhan yg mantap..Disini perlunya cycling shoe ini.

Minta Azhar betulkan kalau ada yg salah info..sbb aku pun tak le terror sgt psal beskal ni..tahu kayuh jer...

Betul... teknik tarik pedal mmg byk menolong time daki bukit. Sbbnya ada 2 major muscle yg ko akan guna. Masa tekan pedal guna muscle betis, masa tarik guna muscle peha. So kurang sket kepenatan 1 muscle tu sbb dia b'tukar ganti. Tapi biasalah, nak wat tu mmg susah sbb otak kita mmg dah set kayuh nie tekan jer, xde tarik2. So nak biasakan diri cari bukit2 yg rendah dlu pastu amalkan tekik tekan-tarik-tekan tu.

dah betul lah tul...dill dah cakap semua..kasut pada aku..kalau aku la...mmg ler penting..mcm dill gan hafiz cakap time climbing banyak membantu...

Agelold mcm nih ler..ko kayuh dulu dengan apa yang ada..1 more make sure kasut tuh kalau boleh tapak bior keras sikit (jangan guna terompah plak.. )..ckp bab kasut nih lupa nak cerita 1 benda yg penting lagi iaitu Sagging..Sagging mesti mau betul..tak betul ukuran nanti ko cepat penat...pasal sagging nih nanti aku paste diagram..mlm2 nih maleh pulak nak carik..

Maksud sagging pada beskal nih aku terjemahkan - maksud ukuran dari seat (tempat duduk) bila ko lurus kan kaki dengan letakan tumit (kasut) kat pedal...tu sebenarnya ukuran ketinggian seatpost ko yg betul..secara logik..mmg kaki tak sampai ke tanah..so kalau berenti mcm mana? actually sampai..tapi hujung2 jari kaki la..tu pasal kalau MTB ke Roddie ke time berenti mesti turun kat palang...bukan sebab ada kasut baru leh ukur sagging..kasut biasa pon boleh tapi kalau ada kasut lagi ok la..adios..

p/s- sedih sungguh aku tengok Malaysia lawan China....

setting amat penting..sbb klau setting tak betul kita akan terasa tak selesa bila duduk atas basikal..klau seat tinggi kita akan terasa sakit bahagian peha dan pinggang..bila kayuh akan cepat cramp..klau rendah sgt pun tak elok gak..jadi..cara paling senang nak tahu kita nyer setting mcm Azhar ceritakan kat atas tu..

Cycling: Boonen clinches first win on Tour in two years

BOURG-EN-BRESSE (France): Belgium抯 Tom Boonen ended a two-year wait to get reacquainted with victory on the Tour de France by winning the sixth stage, held over 199.5km between Semur-en-Auxois and here yesterday.

Boonen, the 2005 world champion, proved too powerful in the mass sprint for Spain抯 Oscar Freire and German sprint veteran Erik Zabel for what was his fifth career stage win on the Tour.

Switzerland抯 Fabian Cancellara (CSC) retained the leader抯 yellow jersey.

Boonen, who rides for the Quick Step team, had failed to win any stages on last year抯 race and there were questions over his motives a few days ago when he appeared to let his teammate Gert Steegmans beat him to the line on the race抯 second stage.

However with this win, Boonen has struck a double blow.

With Australian Robbie McEwen still feeling the effects of a crash, and Thor Hushovd also suffering from a sore back, Boonen is now in with a great chance of battling for the points classification抯 green jersey.

The Belgian took it from the shoulders of former six-time consecutive winner Zabel, ironically on the day it was announced the Milram sprinter would be stripped of his 1996 jersey after admitting to doping that year.

"Stage win means a lot to me, and now the pressure抯 on for the green jersey" said Boonen, who last won a stage on the Tour in 2005.

"I抳e felt good all week, despite what some people might think.

"I抦 really proud to have contributed to the team抯 account. Friday the 13th from now on is a lucky day."

Ahead of two tough days in the Alps, and a day after a torrid pursuit of a four-man breakaway which took its toll on the peloton, the bunch were only too happy to see an early breakaway go.

Britain抯 Bradley Wiggins escaped at the 2km mark and went on to build a massive lead which topped 17min 30sec.

Wiggins, however, was left on his own all day

Cycling: Gerdemann wins first Alps stage

LE GRAND BORNAND (France): Germany抯 Linus Gerdemann, of the T-Mobile team, won the seventh stage of the Tour de France yesterday, and took possession of the yellow jersey after the 197.5km run from Bourg-en-Bresse to here.

He also took over the race leader抯 yellow jersey from Switzerland抯 Fabian Cancellara ahead of today抯 eighth stage, which could feature the first skirmishes in the battle for the race抯 main prize.

Friday抯 first day of three in total in the Alps provided plenty of drama, but with another five days of climbing on the race none of the yellow jersey contenders dared show their hands too early.

The latter stages of the race were brought to life by race debutant Gerdemann, who attacked an earlier 15-man breakaway group inside the last 21km.

Gerdemann had been riding alongside Credit Agricole抯 Dimitriy Fofonov, the Kazakh having done most of the work as they fought to distance some of their earlier companions on the Col de la Colombiere.

Fofonov was then stunned by a sudden attack from Gerdemann, who attacked seven kilometres from the summit of the 16km-long ascent.

Gerdemann came over the summit of the Colombiere, the first category one climb of the race, with a 17-sec gap to close on the remaining 10km descent into Le Grand Bornand.

Concerns over the condition of yellow jersey contenders Alexandre Vinokourov and Andreas Kloden meanwhile were unfounded, the Astana pair finishing the stage with all.

Cycling/Tour de France: Rasmussen wins, extends lead

GOURETTE (France): Michael Rasmussen won yesterday抯 16th stage of the Tour de France and extended his overall lead, as the race continued in the wake of doping revelations.

The Danish cyclist crossed the finish alone after the 218.5-kilometre ride from Orthez to Gourette-Col d扐ubisque, the toughest ride in the Pyrenees this year.

Discovery Channel Team riders rounded out the top three finishes, with Levi Leipheimer of the United States in second, 26 seconds behind, and Alberto Contador of Spain in third, 35 seconds back.

Both lost time against Rasmussen as the Dane broke away from their three-man group in the last kilometer, clocking 6 hours, 23 minutes, 21 seconds for the course along four huge ascents.

Rasmussen, who has himself faced doping suspicions this year, is looking increasingly likely to be the winner when the three-week event ends in Paris on Sunday. He extended his lead to 3:10 against Contador, who is second, and to 5:10 against Cadel Evans of Australia, in third.

"I am one step closer," said Rasmussen, after his second stage victory this Tour after winning Stage 8 in Tignes, with his lower lip swollen from a bee sting.

Before the start, dozens of riders had staged a silent protest against the continuing doping scandals in their sport
