Newt's Letter
This is the first letter I could remember writing. Obviously I don't know if I wrote any before the maze. But even if it's not my first, it's likely to be my last. I want you to know that I'm not scared. Well, not of dying, anyway. It's more forgetting. It's losing myself to this virus, that's what scares me. So every night I've been saying their names out loud....Alby, Winston, Chuck...and I used to repeat that over and over like a prayer...And It all comes flooding back. Just the little things like where the sun used to hit the glade at that perfect moment right before it slipped between the walls.
And I remember the taste of Frypan's stew. I never thought I'd miss that stuff so much. And I remember you. I remember the first time you came up in the box....just a scared little greenie who couldn't remember his own name. And from that moment you ran into the maze, I knew I'd follow you anywhere. And I have. We all have. If I could do it all over again, I would. And I wouldn't change a thing. My hope for you, when you're looking back years from now, you'll be able to say the same. The future is in your hands now, Tommy. And I know you'll find a way and do what's right. You always have.
Take care of everyone for me...and take care of yourself. You deserve to be happy. Thank you for being my friend.

Obviously, one of the most important scenes in the movie is the death of Thomas’s best friend, Newt (Thomas Brodie-Sangster), which plays out very differently from the book.
It does. In fact, Newt’s story in general is incredibly different from the book. A third of the way through, Newt disappears and later writes a letter. Then, almost by chance, Thomas finds him on the side of the road and shoots him in the head. In our movie, that wouldn’t work — it just wouldn’t. You want to stay with Newt for as long as possible and show his slow demise [from his infection]. Ultimately, it’s the catalyst for Thomas to change as a character, in much the same way that Teresa in the second movie tells the story of her mother who got infected and went crazy. This is a story for Thomas where he’s been personally affected by the virus, and he now knows that there’s a way this will never happen to anyone else again if he goes back.
I was also interested in seeing Newt struggle with the monster inside taking over slowly and consuming him, essentially. Every time I went to that visual from the book of Thomas shooting Newt, I felt like it would just be too harsh. So we went this route, where Thomas stabs him after Newt begs him to kill him. Some people will be made about it, but I think it was the right thing to do for the movie. With our versions of the characters, there’s no question in my mind that Thomas would never willingly kill Newt, ever. It doesn’t matter if he was Cranking out and going crazy — he would do everything in his power to not do that. I could never figure out how to put him in a position where he would willingly pull a trigger and shoot his friend in the head.
There are the two prequel books, and with de-aging technology you can go back in 10 years and make everyone look like their younger selves!

Kenapa aku je rasa filem Ke-3 ni bosan..
1. Kenapa masa last tu baru wicked (Minah yang mati last tu) baru tau yang sebenarnya darah si hero tu yang memakan virus tu.. so klu betul bior la si newt u gigit..
2. Takkan masa dia buat Experimen kat Maze tu diorang tak check sample darah si hero tu.
Banyak lagi benda lain tapi ni je dua yang aku nak highlight mungkin peminat tegar ada explanation kot |

Tidak sedar air mata saya mengalir masa newt nak mati..hati macam ditusuk dan stress smpai skrang kalau teringat itu babak adehh  ..pada sya watak newt tu sebenarnya real hero kekekeke dia sangat bijak dan sanggup berkorban demi persahabatan..well tommy pun terasa cam kosong jer bila newt dah pergi selamanya. Watak teresa yg mati tu..no feeling sjahaha |

no 2 tu, I lebih suka kalau diorang ikut buku je, diorang tak jumpa pun 'cure' tapi kalau nak buat diorang jumpa 'cure' jgak (dalam movie) melalui darah thomas, rasa lebih baik kalau buat Ava Paige sebenarnya dah tahu. Thomas sebenarnya bekerja untuk wicked (dia dan Teresa, golongan elit). So, I tak rasa diorang buat test dengan darah Thomas lepas dia kerja dengan wicked (sama kes dengan Teresa, tak rasa pun dia buat test dengan darah dia sendiri untuk cari 'the cure'). Mungkin masa Thomas kecik dulu diorang ada buat test dengan darah dia, tapi masa tu belum jumpa pun 'the cure' (sebab diorang campur macam2 dengan guna darah budak2 immune_. Dalam The Scorch Trials bebudak tu sempat lari masa hari ke-2 diorang keluar dari maze

agak kecewa jugak dalam movie tak banyak pun interaksi Newt-Minho, kalau ikut buku, diorang best friends (Newt used to be a runner/minho's running partner dalam maze sebelum dia dapat limp).
 
dalam interview masa press tour kat Seoul hari tu, reporter ada tanya kalau diberi pilihan untuk selamatkan siapa antara 3 best friends tu (Thomas-Newt-Minho) siapa yang diorang akan pilih. Dylan (Thomas) jawab dia akan selamatkan Newt. Ki Hong (Minho) jawab dia akan selamatkan Newt. Thomas (Newt) jawab dia akan selamatkan Minho, sebab dia kenal Minho 4 tahun (diorang dalam glade 3 tahun)

Tapi aku rasa maybe pada aku intensity lakonan para pelakon yang buat aku sedikit rasa bosan.. mungkin aku dah tua utk memahami perhubungan budak2 muda ni.. pergh mengaku tua..
Sib baik adegan zombie tu sikit je.. aku memang paling tak suka citer2 zombie ni..

dah tgk last week...amik midnite...igt anak2 akan tdo..alih2 si abg xjd tdo..dia blh tgk smpi abis tak berkutik..
citer ni best...ahkak bg 4*...dyl hensem betul..busuk2 hensem..newt so comel...tp masing2 dh ada gf dan bini...lpas tu suka tgk sarancak kena kan dorg time interview (pickup line)..byk kali tgk...

dua2 tak kawen lagi, Dylan sorang je ada gf, Thomas (newt) dengarnye dah clash tahun lepas. Tapi tak tau lah kalau dah ada gf baru, tapi mungkin jugak masih dengan gf lama (memang tak tau status dia sekarang). Ki Hong (Minho) dah ada baby girl (dia yang paling tua sekali)
I lebih suka yang latest ni daripada 2nd movie tapi paling suka 1st movie sebab unik sket jalan cerita dia.
