betul tu...susah sangat nak tengok citer2 NTV & TV Asahi keluar VCD, especially kalau ada favourite actors yg berlakon...susahnya! rasa nak give up mencari kadang2...free TV pun patutnya kena la rajin2 tayang citer2 ni sebab jalan citer biasanya original dan lain dari yg lain...

lagi satu citer2 TBS...walaupun keluar VCD macam Fuji TV, tapi nak keluar TV susah jugak...dulu takpelah ada ntv7, ada jugak tayang citer2 TBS...tapi sekarang TV3/8TV memang cuma tayang citer2 Fuji TV je...diorang ni mesti ada deal dengan Fuji TV...

SPRING DORAMA 2004 (APR - JUNE)

Spring is almost ending, and so do spring doramas. Most popular doramas this spring are Orange Days starring Satoshi Tsumabuki (of "Lunch no Joou" and "Say Hello To Blackjack" fame) & Kou Shibasaki (Good Luck!!), and Itoshi Kimi e (To The One I Love) starring Naohito Fujiki & Miho Kanno.

Meanwhile, Wonderful Life starring Takashi Sorimachi & Kyoko Hasegawa and HomeDorama starring Tsuyoshi Dohmoto, Yusuke Santamaria & Wakana Sakai are doing an OK business. However, it still remains to be seen whether spring doramas can be as popular as winter doramas which starred three of SMAP members, considering also that most doramas aired this spring are devastatingly heavy & distressful except for Orange Days which is a little bit light-hearted. It's also a common belief that Shinsengumi, a year-long, 49-parter taiga dorama will top the average rating this spring, being extremely popular and starring a SMAP member, Shingo Katori.

P/S: mungkin inilah senarai drama2 yg akan di'release' di M'sia selepas Jun ni...average ratings report belum keluar sebab ada drama yg belum habis tayangan kat Jepun...kite akan postkan report tu kemudian nanti, OK...

hmm, banyak menang awards, and it stars a SMAP member...bestlah kot, I'm definitely going to get it kalaupun tak berapa best! drama ni fokusnya pada persahabatan & kekeluargaan, cinta sikit je...drama ni jugak adalah pemegang rating tertinggi untuk winter (Jan - Mar) 2002...info & comments pasal citer ni boleh dibaca di:

Hito ni Yasashiku (Fuji TV 2002)

komen penonton pun agak memberangsangkan...ada yg sampai bagi 10/10!

P/S: walaupun rating tertinggi, tapi ramai yg tak kenal Shingo Katori...that's probably why baru ada Malay subs walaupun dah tayang tahun 2002...tapi kalau tengok Shingo-chan, boleh jatuh cinta! he's too adorable, especially his charming smile!

title yg diberi kat boxset tu adalah Father, Daddy and Dad...at first, beli ni sebab Shingo Katori, tapi bila dah start tengok episod 1 & 2, memang best! the story is funny, sweet and touching at the same time...kalau episod2 yg seterusnya pun se'best' ni, memang tak hairanlah kalau citer ni dapat rating tertinggi untuk winter 2002...Shingo Katori is so adorable (despite the 'lion' hairstyle), and the other two male leads are equally good-looking...that little boy yg jadi narrator citer ni pun cute je...aktres yg bertiga tu pun comel2 belaka...tak sabar nak sambung tengok...

Related article:

In 2003, only Takuya Kimura's GOOD LUCK!! made it pass the 20% mark throughout the year, even surpassing 30% in average ratings with its final episode reaching as high as 37.6%. So when Takuya Kimura's PRIDE reached 24.90% of average ratings last winter, it was said that this will probably be the highest-rated dorama in 2004. This is halfway true. Until yesterday, the three highest-rated doramas this spring is Orange Days (16.65%), Itoshi Kimi e (16.35%), and At-Home Dad (16.17%). All three top doramas are under 17% in average ratings, which are far below the achievements made by PRIDE, Shiroi Kyoto Season 1 & 2 (23.59%), Boku to Kanojo to Kanojo no Ikiru Michi (20.67%), and Suna no Utsuwa (19.39%). Coincidentally, three of winter's top doramas have a SMAPster in the lead. It's a SMAP-fest last winter. This again raises concern that TV doramas couldn't survive without SMAP, although NHK's year-long taiga dorama, Shinsengumi, which has Shingo Katori in the lead, only managed 15.90% in average ratings, a drop from winter's average ratings of 19.70%. The combined ratings until now however, is 17.80%, higher than Orange Days.

Korean dramas is making a real impact on Japanese TV, with Winter Sonata taking 12.46% in average ratings. In winter, Winter Sonata could barely manage more than 10% in each of its episode (although this is considered impressive), but the noticeable drop in quality (or probably the popularity of the cast) in spring doramas has taken Winter Sonata to a new height, getting around 12%-13% in ratings and reaching 15% at one time. With another halfway to go, Winter Sonata could prove to be highly popular, and paves the way for other Korean dramas to get more recognition and acceptance. Therefore, unless summer doramas in July to September are of higher quality with a more popular cast, or a SMAPster is starring in it (which is highly unlikely), 'competition' from Korean dramas is highly anticipated. This will be a very healthy competition, and production team will have to realize that they have a new competitor in town besides Hollywood which is keeping viewers away from their seasonal doramas.

Although Japanese doramas have diversity and originality to their credits compared to Korean dramas, but the recent 'craving' for everything Korean just have to make production team rethink their future. SMAP wouldn't be around forever. SMAP, particularly Takuya Kimura, have been 'saving' the seasonal doramas each and every year since 2000, but the production team have to find another Kimutaku and some more new talents soon. They have to double their efforts to churn out higher-quality doramas. If they want their doramas to reach 20%-30% in ratings the way it used to be in the golden era of the 90's, they will have to work harder, and they will have to start now.

P/S: Kite akan postkan final and official ratings kemudian nanti lepas dah habis spring, most probably 2-3 hari ni...audience ratings ni bolehlah dijadikan panduan kalau nak beli drama2 terbaru yg akan masuk M'sia tak lama lagi...
