I found this on the internet...

In Buddhism, there is no Supreme Being that is the creator of all. However Gautama Buddha does state that our thoughts make the world. The Buddha considers thought as the creator of the world.

We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts we make the world. (Dhammapada, 1.1-3)

So, the world we have now appear from our thought?

The world is our own making. We are here because we want to. Nibanna is to end all this.

u exist in samsara because you want to exist, so to speak.

quote
"... buddha's repeated and definite declaration that an absolute first beginning of existence is something unthinkable, that all such speculation may lead to insanity and one could never imagine a time when there was no ignorance and craving for existence"

in simple term, it is not wise to speculate on the beginning of the Samsara, for it's unthinkable, and cannot be comphrehended by unenlightened mind. we should concentrate more on practicing the path outlined by the Buddha.

the answers will come to us when you attained nibbana.

One of my buddist friend send me this... I`m bit confused

it just appears as rectangle boxes at my screen. I dont read chinese

anyway, that board was really something dont you think? everybody is looking for a fight. I withdrew from posting there.

to me the debates are useless, it does not change a thing. Muslim will not become christian and vice versa. They have been attacking each others for years, but nothig has changed. THey just wasting their time.

plus, if i choose to drag myself into their debate , it will be senseless, I can quote whatever illogical thing about their religion too, but I dont think that will change anything. maybe they dont feel bad, but i will feel bad after i insult other people, and i did tht few times  on their board. It didnt feel right. Plus it's wrong speech also. nvm lar, let them win. it does not matter.

lazy to click here and there.. this forum loads very slow nowadays too

Amitabha, Sanskrit word, literally means boundless light and boundless life. He is the Buddha in the Land of Ultimate Bliss (Pure Land), in which all beings enjoy unbounded happiness. Amitabha ha ...

In order for one to be a buddha, the life span of humans then must be between 100 years to 100 000 years. Also, one who will attain nibbana by becoming a Sammasambuddha will have his last rebirth in the human realm. To answer the existance of Buddha Amitabha, we must investigate how Buddha Amitabha became a Buddha and in what realm he became a buddha.

My dear brother, after the Buddha's parinibbana, there exist many so called "suttas' unheard of prior to the Buddha's parinibbana. In order for us to investigate if a particular sutta which we read is in accordance with what the Buddha tought, we ought to compare them with the Early 4 Nikaya or Agama Sutra (for Mahayana school, which the Agama Sutra is the early 4 Nikaya) and see if there is any contradiction, if yes, then we reject, if no, then we can accept. Why? Please read the 6 Buddhist Council which I have posted in this board. The Buddha will never give contradicting discourses since what the Buddha teach is the truth, don't you guys agree with me?

Yes, true indeed that Buddha Gotama is not the first to be a sammasambuddha and neither will he be the last. However, now we are investigating if there was Buddha Amitabha.

well, there are arahants from mahayana traditions too. so their teachings must have some truth in it, despite the reservations of the theravadans.

One of the main difference between the Theravada tradition and the Mahayana tradition is that which pertain to Bodhisatta.

Also, it is said that Mahayana was derived from the Mahasanghika or Mahasanghiti council.
