Bolehkah jawap beberapa soalan saya tentang agama buddha??

Just to add, the 4th precepts means "refrain from wrong speech".
That includes;
1. false speech - false testimony, cheating, lying
2. idle chatter - gossips, talk when it's not needed or required
3. harsh speech - abusive speech, scolding, swearing, yelling, etc
4. divisive speech - to incite others to fight, to cause discontent, to provoke others, to make people become enemies of each other
Such is the training for refrain from wrong speech.

Dear Cabang,
8 precepts are:
1. Refrain from taking life
2. Refrain from taking what is not given
3. Refrain from sex
4. Refrain from wrong speech
5. Refrain from intoxicants
6. Refrain from taking solid food after noon
7.Refrain from from dancing, singing, music,entertainments, wearing garlands, using perfumes, and beautifying the body with cosmetics.
8. Refrain from lying on a high or luxurious sleeping place
Notice that it's actually 5 precepts + additional 3. Also note the refrain from sexual misconduct in 5 precepts is now refrain from any sex in 8precepts.

So,the 4th precepts is always: Refrain from wrong speech. It's actually more than just 'not lying' but includes the other types of wrong speech to be refrained from.

jangan tanya soalan bodoh, tiada satu agama setuju padanya.
kalau nak dapat kehormatan daripada orang lain, sendiri kena bagi kehormatan kepada orang lain dulu. |

no accurate answer for ur 1st and 2nd question. dun hv this rule in the Buddhism.
in the 3rd precepts: Do not indulge in sexual misconduc.
at that time rape, adultery and other abnormal sexual behaviour(main blkg i supppose), was under this category.
and buddhism has nothing nothing to do wif mooncake, tarian singa and anything to do with china..but the religion was spread to china...of course, more explaination will come if someone start another thread.
actually it is originated from India by a human named by Siddhartha Gotama(dont mind the spelling)
And to answer ur 3rd question, i think it is more of like culture. Our asian culture (whether malay, chinese or indian) do not encourage marriage before sex.
