not only connection. Bagi saya formula berjaya is "To Understand What Customer's Want". Biasa, senang saja, either Increase Profit or Reduce Cost (sama utk menambah Profit).

provide the best and reliable service. become a Problem solver and not simply duduk diam2. I consider ni part of buyer, semau masalah yg buyer sedang dan akan hadapi, saya akan cuba solve problem tu secepat mungkin.
Always be available and give fast respond. Sungguh pun adakala masalah tu tidak dapat diselesaikan dgn cepat, at least Keep Customer Update setiap masa, so they know u are doing something.

Biasa i just email them.
1st, dapatkan email, dari website or directory

2nd, write a email proposal, jika u dah ada produk tertentu yg nak propose, then try highlight (in bullet form) the benefit and advantage produk anda nak propose tu. Biasa I guna Subject seperti, RE : HOW CAN YOU INCREASE YOUR COMPANY'S PROFIT BY 10% (atau sebagainya). Dalam email, tak perlu cerita terlalu detail, yg penting bagi tau benefit yg mereka akan nikmati. lepas tu tulis : " If you should need further information, I would be more than happy to meet you in person and explain to you in details how you can help your company to increase profit by 10%. Please let me know when you are free to meet up. Hope to hear from you soon. (This is how I got in AirAsia 4 years ago. Success rate very2 high, sebab semua syarikat nak increase profit or save cost.)

3rd, follow up. cuba call 2 atau 3 hari lepas tu, confirm PIC dah dapat email tersebut.

4th, cuba tanya bila PIC free to meet up.

5th, be well prepare, try to do research regarding the company, as detail as possible. Then try to match the benefit of using your product to the need of the customer. Bring a dedicated proposal attention to the PIC that you are going to meet and not just catalog and leaflet.

6th, during 1st meeting, try not to push sales, just try to understand your customer. Then try to give more information (educate your customer), no need to give confirm price. Close meeting by saying, that we will go back and work out a new proposal after understanding your need and requirement and we will provide you with the best solution and option. With this you make customer happy, as you listen and will make necessary changes and customize solution to them, all customer like that kind of attention.

7th, submit (in person if possible) a new customized proposal, mentioning that you and your team have study carefully their need and requirement and come out with this customized proposal that will solve their problem.

I had used this method many times, it got me into AirAsia, MAS (LSG), Jusco, Bernas etc.

this is a well established method..
contact
investigate
qualify
present
close...

but ramai yg fail to qualify properly but instead eager to present and closed too quickly..
resulting in mismatch with customer's need...

mhloke...sejak kebelakangan nie ramai orang bila nak build network connection or close deal mesti kena bagi imbuhan pada PIC ( bukan semua ).so sepanjang pengalaman u dalam Bisness Matching ni, adakan ia dipraktikkan?TQ

rasanya faham dia maksudkan...

dia try masukkan barangan korang dlm hypermarket...
konon korang jual air limau... tp xde market, just kecil2 saja or online.. so dia tlg masukkan dlm hypermarket...jusco ker, giant ker, tesco ker
pastu kalau hypermarket setuju... korang dpt sales n dia dpt komisen...
kira dia org tgh la nih...

msloke nih mesti byk kenal merchandiser drpd hypermarket... huhu
