Apabila dikeluarkan pada tahun 1974, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre telah diharamkan secara terang-terangan di banyak negara, dan pelbagai pawagam mengharamkan filem selepas selepas menerima aduan mengenai sifat keganasan yang melampau. Filem ini telah dipasarkan sebagai cerita benar untuk menarik penonton yang lebih luas, walaupun plot sepenuhnya fiksyen. Pada hakikatnya filem itu telah diilhamkan oleh jenayah pembunuh bersiri terkenal, Ed Gein, yang mengumpul token daripada mangsa, seperti puting, topeng kulit dan kepala, dan disimpan di rumahnya.

1977: Saturday Night Fever was banned by Cinema International Corporation's Paramount Malaysia division, some say, because it may be deemed to cause chaos in the community.[2]
1984: Cannibal Holocaust[3] - Banned due to extremely high-impact violence and offensive depictions of cruelty.
1986: Platoon was banned, due to vulgar language and violence.[4]
1995: Babe - Banned due to its title and subject matter not being halal. Released direct-to-VHS when the ruling was overturned almost a year later.[2]

aku syorkan ko tengok The Mountain of Cannibal God.xlah sekeji cannibal holocoust tu. aku dimaklumkan sebahagian babaknya dibuat di Malaysia dan guna pelakon melayu sebagai org asli sebab x dapat kebenaran dr negara asal. mesti best diorang dapat berlakon sebab byk adegan 18sx dan sg

aku ada beli kat pasar malam filem ni.....8 ifilem Holocaust dalam satu DVD ...sampai nak muntah aku layan....btw yg Holocaust 1 je yg betul2 holocaust...
