BTS Story of the Kiss on the Red Carpet
As we all know, during the kiss, time was stopped momentarily. The scene was filmed with 60 cameras set up in a formation. The Star Crew also used the blue screens to merge the background together. The scene took a lot of time and effort to be completed in order to present the display of DMJ’s supernatural powers naturally. The director said, the time stop was done with the cameras, blue screens. The second half of the red carpet kiss although too a lot of effort (yes, we know it took about 12 kisses attempts and many hugs) and time, but it was done by adjusting the focal length of the cameras and no blue screens were needed.
Of course, most of you will also remember a fan account which I translated on Soompi that witnessed the filming before the episode was aired. The fan mentioned that the dress that CSY was wearing was obviously not suitable for cold weather and the weather was very cold that night. The actors had to keep running for their vans to keep warm. However that was not enough as they obviously had to standby at their positions before the cameras start rolling so some waiting in the cold was inevitable. KSH couldnt bear to see JJH standing in the cold so he was hugging her throughout the standby. Sweet isnt it?
Similarly, the younger co-star acting as Yi-wa, CSY’s past life, also commented the same thing. KSH could not bear to see her wearing those thin clothes during filming and was constantly watching out for her.
