Popular idol stars are coming together through a sitcom with a boarding house concept.
On the 2nd, multiple broadcasting officials told Star News, “ZE:A’s Kim Dongjun, Jewelry’s Park Semi, Rainbow’s Hyunyoung, VIXX’s Ken, and others have been cast in cable channel MBC Every1’s upcoming ‘Boarding House No. 24”.
The officials also stated that the sitcom is still in the midst of casting and there are two more idol stars are to be added to make the total of six acting as university students.
This project has grabbed the attention of many for having a similar concept as the extremely popular 90s sitcom, ‘Three Men, Three Women’.
In ‘Three Men, Three Women’, Shin Dongyeop, Song Seunghun, Lee Uijung, Woo Heejin, and others illustrated the daily lives and love stories of university students. Through that they were able to show fun episodes and cater to viewers’ enjoyment.
How ‘Boarding House No. 24’ will differ from ‘Three Men, Three Women’ with the same concept, and what kind of charms the cast will emit with their acting has become a hot topic.
Dubbed as the 2014 version of ‘Three Men, Three Women’, ‘Boarding House No. 24’ is scheduled to begin airing in early August. It will have a total of 12 episodes and will meet viewers with one episode per week.
It is true that Ken and others are being considered for the cast but nothing has been confirmed yet.

The group has been soaring in Japan since releasing its debut album Darkest Angels on July 2.
The album ranked no. 1 on Tower Records′ weekly album chart and no. 10 on the Oricon weekly album chart.
VIXX has since traveled to Japan to promote its album in person. On July 5 and 6 the group held a high-touch event in Kobe and Tokyo. Over 10,000 fans crowded the venue.
Many local media outlets were also present, fighting to cover the news.
The group even stole hearts in China. On June 28, the group appeared in the Starwith K-Pop Live in Guangzhou event.
Ken sang a solo piece by Jay Chou to great applause from the audience.
In Korea, the group will hold its first exclusive concert VIXX Live Fantasia [Hex Sign] from July 18-20.

VIXX Wards Off Evil Spirits with First Ever Exclusive Concert
VIXX wrote a new, meaningful page in its career with its first exclusive concert.
The group held its concert VIXX Live Fantasia Hex Sign from July 18-20 in Seoul. VIXX was able to draw over 11,000 fans not only from Korea but also from many countries around the world such as Japan, China, Thailand, Monaco, Germany and more.
Many friends including Super Junior′s Shindong and Ryeowook and more dropped by to see the group perform.
The concert′s 150 minutes were full of fantastic performances that fit VIXX′s fantasy image.
The concert started with the Hex Sign, the group′s symbol for the concert, and a performance by dancers dressed as wizards.
VIXX then appeared to sing Voodoo Doll, Secret Night and Hyde with a piano intro played by Leo.
The members finally greeted their fans after singing four songs in a row. "We′ll protect you from evil spirits," they said.
They then went on to sing a mix of powerful dance and moving ballad performances with Chaos, B.O.D.Y, Love, LaLaLa and more.
They even showed they could shine as units by showcasing special unit performances. Leo and Ken sang the sad ballad Cold Night, while the Ravi and Hyuk duo sang Memory. Both songs were written by Leo and Ravi themselves.
N and Hong Bin performed sexy moves to Britney Spears′ Toxic.
VIXX then came together as a group once more to sing Light Up the Darkness and Someday, and voiced how thankful it was toward its fans by reading out a letter it had written.
In the last day′s concert, leader N broke down in tears while thanking his fans and fellow members.
"We always dreamed of holding our own concert, and now that dream has become reality. We want to thank our parents, agency workers and concert staff, and we especially thank our Starlights for helping us be where we are now. We′ll be a group that leads change but never changes," VIXX said in determination.
A source from the group′s agency Jellyfish Entertainment said, "The VIXX members shone with happiness during the whole time they were preparing the concert. They worked hard to give their fans the best performances and songs, and we believe that was what touched the fans."
