Japan government seeks reduced power use to avoid blackouts

TOKYO, April 8 — Japan's government is seeking reduced power consumption by both companies and households to avoid blackouts after power plants were knocked out by last month’s earthquake and tsunami, Trade Minister Banri Kaieda said today.
In principle, the two utilities most affected, Tokyo Electric Power Co and Tohoku Electric Power Co, will not conduct rolling blackouts, he said.
The government wants major users reliant on the two utilities to cut power consumption by 25 per cent in the peak summer demand season, the ministry said.
Small industrial users are being asked to use 20 per cent less power and households 15-20 per cent less. — Reuters |

Mmg toksah haraplah nak mintak maaf.. Tak pernah lagi berlaku dlm sejarah rasanya... Sepemahaman den lah..
Ni pernah ada pekerja TEPCO sampai menangis2 kena jerkah / dimarah reporter2 dlm satu sidang media.. kalau terjumpa pic tu insya-Allah akan diupload... Ni bagusnya jika ada MEDIA yg bebas & tak bias... Xdelah pihak yg boleh sesuka-suki buat cara sendiri atau swipe under the carpet... semua kecut perut & mengambil sikap berhati2 atau elak diri membohongi rakyat... |

Utk gempa yg terbaru kat Miyagi tu ada alert pasal tsunami pd mulanya, tapi alhamdulillah xde... Cuma, ramai yg cakap, even magnitude 6.0, ramai yg rasa goncangan lagi kuat berbanding yg March 11 tuh.. Allahua'lam... |

A Government spokesperson said checks of milk from Fukishima prefecture and of spinach from neighbouring Ibaraki prefecture found they contained radiation levels exceeding safety limits. |
