Robben Happy With Real Madrid Win Over Valencia, But Not Liverpool Draw
Arjen Robben was suitably impressed with Real Madrid's defeat of Valencia, but he was not as enamoured with their Champions League prospects...
After starring in Real Madrid's 1-0 win over Valencia, Arjen Robben was delighted at the team's performance. Somewhat less pleasing to him was the fact that Liverpool are Los Merengues' opponents in the Champions League.
Speaking after the win, Robben said, "We had to win. We needed these three points. The truth is that we began very well, pressuring them at every opportunity. Then after we scored we allowed them back in the game. We have to fix that."
Robben then talked about his excellent form: "Right now I am happy, strong, and playing as I want to. I am glad that I can help the team."
Finally, Robben touched on Real Madrid's impending Champions League date with Liverpool, conceding that they are "the most difficult opponent".
He continued, "I would have preferred Manchester United. Liverpool work very hard, and in addition, they are a cup team, not a league team (ne pujian ke sindiran... ). In recent years, they have always been between the semi-finals and final of the Champions League." |
