I thought you said that we are interfering when we offer those Thais who wants to avoid the violance in the south temporary stay and you say we are interfering, thus Kuan Yew making that remark can also be said as interfering from your way of explaination right???

Yes I agree with you. Both non-Muslim & Muslim Thais shd learn to live together - co-exist. The Muslims can have their own Islamic laws without any interferences from the Thai Govt. Even Msian Govt doesn't interfere with non-Muslims' culture, customs & religion.

Yup..I agree with you too. The Thai regimes should not only give them bread and butter but freedoms and rights and to treat them as a human being too. This is in line with the Buddhist teaching.

Selatan Thai has no history of belonging to the Northern Siamese.. all is written is that South Thailand was a Pattani Malay Sultanate, occupied by the Thais some 100 yearas ago... So, why can't they fight for independence? Many countries in the world do so.. including the USA. But Singapore is a different case, TAR awarded the island to LKY via a letter and never been approved by the parliament or by the people consensus... Singapore status is clear, it is a Malaysian Island. That's why Singapore doesn't have a proper independence date to correlate to anything solid to its real being.

Malaysian Government and Thai Government already sign treaty and made mutual border line for the past 60 YEARS. No need for anyone to fight for "independance". ;)
