hi nur.. chi just wanna share info
i dun think that it is called gula melaka.. coz gula melaka dari kelapa kan?
gula apong/gula anau is equivalent to Gula Enau coz ia d proses dari enau, sejenis tumbuhan yg terdapat d tebing sungai.

ye ke chi, nur pun tak tau gula melaka diperbuat dr apa,..kalau resepi yg melibatkan kuih muih tradisi kat sini semua gunakan gula apong.  Nanti Nur tanye ibu Nur ye...tp kat sini gula apong tu kalau makan dgn ubi kayu rebus sedap gak tu selain drpd makan dengan kelapa parut.

Anyway tq for sharing d infor chi...

salah satu masakan nasik yg istimewa kat Brunei ialah Nasi Kabuli...

NASI  KABULI  BRUNEI

30 tahun dulu Nasi Kabuli adalah sajian yang paling digemari di majlis kenduri kahwin di kalangan orang-orang Brunei.  Biasanya mereka menggunakan periuk tembaga untuk menanak nasi ini.  Bau harum minyak kelapa dan gabungan rempah ratus di dalamnya mengangkat selera para tetamu untuk menikmatinya.

Bahan-bahanya:

500g daging direbus dan dikoyak halus
3 cawan beras siam
1 cawan beras pulut
5 cawan air rebusan tulang/daging

Kisar:
6 ulas bawang merah
10 ulas bawang putih
1 biji bawang besar
15cm halia muda
3 batang serai
