You are right and that's good advice too. I do believe that lack of knowledge is the cause of many a worry. Reminds me of the length that ppl go to when they cannot fathom the unknown.

Yes, I agree. First, we do the best we can. Study it, think it properly, do it properly, have sound judgement, then when we do all we have to do and leave the result to God.

But if we do our work carelessly and without good preparation chance are we will be worried as we know that we didn't do the task the best way we can.

I would say negative thoughts may be the consequence of lack or absence of knowledge or information since there is a reaction for every cause. The absence of understanding a cause would result in an error in it's interpretation and therefor expectation ..........alas, negative thoughts.

It's great that you are now doing something you love. Maybe the recent offer is good, maybe it's not. Only you can decide after careful consideration...

I guess many ppl are influenced by other people's expectations. Hence, they end up living other peoples' lives!

But what are negative thoughts?? Is thinking of doing something different or out of the ordinary necessarily be negative? May I say that any thoughts that demotivate the essence causing incorrect perception and the lack of will on the essence would be negative?

In this aspect, I do not understand how thoughts of changing one's job would be termed as negative. It is the underlying reasons that could categorise it.

If you like better a better paying position than that is really not negative, dutchy. Nevertheless, a complete evaluation would be necessary before you make important decisions as there can be more that meets the eye!

One might not know if his/her decision is negative or positive in the long term/ grand scheme of things.

Maybe next week/tomorrow/yesterday it may seems negative but one year from now it will seems that the decision is the right one, after all.

As human, I think it's safe to say that we evaluate something as positive or negative based on our feeling about it. And this feeling is ususally shaped by our conditioning.
