Many of us takes shoes for granted. A good shoes is very important if you want to make a mark in the crowd or in an occasion. A good shining polished shoes give an impression of 'what a person is'. Shoes transgress all ideologies . Even communists wear good decent shoes.

Nice shoes..........alah membeli, menang memakai. Itu ideologinya. Nevertheless, in today's world not many would abide by it. Cepat habis cepat dapat yang baru....!

On the serious note, it is important to wear a comfortable pair of shoes both from the well being of your feet as well as what you term...the measure of all things/man. Take your pick. Just that the art of making good shoes is a specialised thing and until this is achieved no one can compel me ...not even nationalism.

So I dont really that care if my shoes are from gombak or from Italy

As long as it costs me not more than RM40, that will do

nothing is wrong - cuma.... berapa lama kasut buatan gombak tu boleh tahan? my concern is only that... kasut yg putperi pakai ni snowfly i bought it for rm 265 and dah 3 tahun pakai.. still look like new....  instead of buying a shoe of rm40 and last for 1 month..... ni puteri laaa....

My son bought  a cheap and cheerful sandles for his trip in Pangkor Island. Nothing else. Sampai sana tapak terkopek. What happened? 3 hari kaki ayam. That is the price you have to  pay  for cheap products.
It really   pays to hv something a little bit pricey but it last.

If local products last, there is nothing wrong buying them. There are good and poor quality local products.
If you buy it cheap, what to expect. Good quality products have their price.

I notice these days most shoes/sandals use glue.............Once they get in water the glue give way and you end with kasut hilang tapak!
