... wonder dari mana asalnya pepatah "curiosity kills the cat?" ni?
only cats ker curious animals? dogs and chickens and monkeys are not curious? but then again, yg selalu got "stuck" in weird situations cth: serombong asap, longkang, lubang kat pokok, celah dinding ..biasanya cats? |

Seperti juga with spoken languages, the sign language juga berbeza-beza based on the spoken language used. What if semua sign language in the world di standardized kan into one common sign language and kita diajar dari kindergarden sign language ni. That would make the world much easier? everybody leh communicate dgn handicapped persons, and if gi mana mana negara, kurang language barriers?

most probably can, coz their language would be universal ... i think?
arguments would come after they have known "speech"

yep but thru sound generating via vocal folds ( termed as vocalising ) , up to 6-8 months old the babies basically vocalise similar sounds ( making similar sounds) like dada, mama, baba etc irrespective of their mother language.
yes they do communicate but initially it was thought to be non-intentional meaning, like if a baby cries, adult will attend the baby by feeding the baby with milk etc and then gradually the baby will associate crying = milk giving, The baby will do the same thing again in order to get the same thing ( reward : milk). So, nampak tak kat sini, adukt give meaning to the babies communicative act - intent.
Other form of communication - eye contact - joint attention, turn taking semua ni non - verbal. |

just remembered a scene from HOUSE M.D AXN at astro channel 701
a dialogue between Dr House and dr Wilson:
House : Since I am not a cat, curiosity won't kill me
Wilson: House, i do not think that was intended to the cats. |

There's something good in this, the curiosity I mean...
Boy it's hard to balance this. what will come if we say something, and then something else for a little child...
Don't want to put a brake on that but the question are...
hmm...
Maybe you could write down his question in some sort of a journal when he's not around. Provided you remember them.
And show that to him when his bigger or the time is appropriate or something...
Keeping a record, would be nice... |
