Kareena to star with Aamir in Idiots

If all goes well, Kareena Kapoor's dream of working with Aamir Khanmight just come true. Last week, she was approached by Rajkumar Hiranito act opposite Aamir in Idiots. Says a source, "Kareena has alwaysbeen very keen to work with Aamir and Rajkumar Hirani.
Lasttime, Aamir and Bebo were to work in Mani Ratnam's Lajjo but the filmgot scrapped. But now, it seems Kareena may just be working with Aamir.Last week, Kareena and Raju had a hush-hush meeting where he narratedher the script of Idiots. Kareena is very excited about it."
The source adds, "Though Kajolis telling people that she hasn't read Raju's film and will considerthe film after she reads the script. It's a fact that when Raju found out that she had poked fun at him by asking ShahrukhKhan who Hirani was and if he was any good as a director,he feltextremely insulted. He decided to take the script to Kareena who hasevinced a keen interest but is trying to work out the dates."
Asource close to Kareena confirms the meeting, "Yes. Its true that Bebohad a closed-door meeting with Raju about Idiots but it's premature totalk about it. Kareena has loved the Munnabhai films and is very keento work with Raju.
Kareena is a busy actress who has signedmore than five big films this year including Sajid Nadiadwala'sKambakht Ishq opposite Akshay Kumarand has a huge deal with TV18. If the film with Aamir happens, it willbe the cherry on the cake for Kareena." Idiots is based on ChetanBhagat's Five Point Someone and deals with the story of three IITstudents. Hirani has also approached John Abraham, Shahrukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan for other roles in the film. |

Shahrukh to direct Chak De sequel
The latest buzz in Bollywood is that there may be a sequel to Chak De India. There are also rumours that Shahrukh Khan may wear the director's hat in the movie. Surely SRK has taken a leaf out of Aamir's book who made a sensational debut as a director with Taare Zameen Par. The idea of a sequel came to Shahrukh after superb success of Chak De India. Not only did it do well in the box office but became a cult film for Indian sports.
Shahrukh is in talks with Yash Raj Films and producer Aditya Chopra for this project. Director Shimit Amin and screenwriter Jaideep Sahni are currently working on the script for the movie. The movie will begin with Shahrukh marrying a girl from the team. There are also reports that Rani Mukherjee will join the team as its female coach. The focus of the movie will remain on women's hockey in India.

Sometime back, there were reports that director duo Abbas-Mustan were planning to put direction on hold temporarily, since they plan to concentrate on film production after having announced a slew of movies. The director duo has signed Rumi Jaffrey [presently directing GOD TUSSI GREAT HO], Rohit Jugraj [JAMES, SUPER STAR] and Nishikant Kamat [director of the Marathi film DOMBIVALI FAST] to direct a film each.
