"Aitai Riyuu / Dream After Dream ~Yume Kara Sameta Yume~," the new single from AAA composed by Tetsuya Komuro, edged out a #1 victory on the sales charts this week. This is their second #1 single (the first was "MIRAGE" in 2008). For Komuro as a composer, this is his 43rd, though the last one was the 2001 Ayumi Hamasaki and KEIKO collaboration "a song is born."
The single sold 46,000 copies, narrowly beating the 45,000 copies sold by Ikimono Gakari's "Arigatou." Idol group Momoiro Clover achieved #3 with their first major label release, "Ikuze! Kaitou Shoujo," while former AKB48 member Mai Oshima landed at #7 with her first solo single, "Mendokusai Aijou."
On the album charts, Hideaki Tokunaga's "VOCALIST 4" sold 62,000 copies to stay at #1 for the third straight week. Only one new album made it into the top ten - "Best Collection" by My Little Lover.
Meanwhile, Mr.Children's latest live DVD outsold "Avatar" to top the DVD sales charts, giving them their 7th consecutive #1 DVD. This ties them for the current record with Arashi and KAT-TUN.
AAA to Start Their Virtual Space "Pigg Live" For the First time
AAA will be hold the very first live event as their Ameba Pigg characters in the online community Ameba, which counts over 8.5 Million users as of now, at their "Pigg Live"!
A "Pigg Live" is an event, where the users can watch actual live footage and communicate with the artists, who are controlling their respective avatars - a rather new kind of virtual amusement. The event will be taking place on June 25th.
The place of the live will be the "Pigg Dome" within the Ameba community space. Before the performance, from May 18th the "Pigg Dome" area will be opened to Piggs members and it will also be possible to buy AAA avatar Pigg goods. Just like actual tour goods, there will be, among a muffler towel, three items in total, which can be bought from May 18th.
This is certainly a chance not even given during the recent tour, so don't miss this chance to enjoy this time with the group's members!

Essayist Sawako Agawa's comedic novel "Soup Opera" is getting a movie adaptation, directed by Tomoyuki Takimoto. This is the first novel by Agawa to be turned into a film, though her award-winning "Umeko" was turned into a drama special in 2005.
Maki Sakai (40) will star as a 35-year-old single woman who suddenly ends up living together with two strangers, played by Tatsuya Fuji (68) and AAA's Takahiro Nishijima (23).
Supporting cast members include Mariko Kaga, Kimiko Yo, and Masato Hagiwara. The movie was filmed last summer and is scheduled for release this fall.
AAA's Atae Shinjiro and singer-song-writer Maekawa Hiroki recently attended the premiere of the movie "Ramune" held in Tokyo.
The movie tells the story of high school student Yosuke and his love fantasy with the mysterious girl Rumi. Having written the theme song of the movie, Maekawa, who had his actors' debut, said:"I was really trembling all along the filming" he revealed, however, on the song he said with confidence that "It has become a track that makes tears spill, I think."
Atae, who is playing his first main role in a movie, said about the things he has in common with the character he is playing: "When I first read the script, I really thought that he was a very dark character, but gradually I understood this role and came to realize, that it's not at all that dark. I am more of the boisterous type, so that's a little different, still." And he added with little appreciation: "Lately there are a lot of dark roles for me. How come? I would really like to play a crazy character next time, or maybe something with more action." Atae stated as his hopes for future projects.
AAA’s new single “Makenai Kokoro“, will be released on August 18th, and it will be the theme song for upcoming drama “Gakeppuchi no Ellie ~Kono yode ichiban taisetsu na kane no hanashi~,” which will start on July 9th, 2010.
“Makenai Kokoro” is produced by Masato “Max” Matsuura (the President of Avex), and composed by Komuro Tesuya.  They are planning to include 3 songs in the single (details unknown).

AAA: Takahiro Nishijima & Shinjiro Atae to release photo book “N/S”
Members of a popular group AAA, Takahiro Nishijima and Shinjiro Atae announced the release of a photo book titled “N/S” (Nissy & Shin from AAA meets Junon).
This photo book is to celebrate AAA’s fifth year anniversary and is slated for release on August 27th. The photo book will be in full color with 112 pages of various pictures and articles from the past five years. The photo book comes with a double sided poster randomly selected from a bundle of three.
