Pesawat EgyptAir MS804 mungkin terhempas dalam laut

KAHERAH - Sebuah pesawat EgyptAir yang dipercayai hilang dengan 59 penumpang dan 7 anak kapal mungkin terhempas dalam laut.

Demikian kata, sumber rasmi syarikat penerbangan EgyptAir dan Penerbangan Awam Mesir hari ini.

Sebelum ini, EgyptAir melaporkan pesawat MS804 terbang dari Paris ke Kaherah hilang dari radar di Laut Mediterranean.

Sementara itu, akhbar Mesir, Ahram pula menyatakan bahawa tiada sebarang panggilan kecemasan dari kapal terbang tersebut dan komunikasi terakhir dengan juruterbang pada kira-kira 10 minit sebelum pesawat itu hilang. - Reuters

dulu waktu mh 370 hilang.. selang sehari...hubby baru nak balik dari HK .. pastu  mh17 lak sehari selepas balik dr  usa.... pastu QZ lak selang sehari dari aus... ni baru ja selasa touch down kl dari seattle...jatuh aircraft lagi....

seriaunyaaaaa.. selamatkanlah hubbyku walau dimana bumi dipijak demi mencarik rezeki halal untuk anak bini...

eerkkk... A320.... ni yg seriau ni.... Baru bercita2 nak beralih drp menaiki MH ke arah memilih airlines pak arab2 ni... Sejak kebelakangan, byk pulak isu pasal kapalterbang diorg.

Plane sent out SOS message - Egyptian officials

An official in Egyptair said Egyptian said that search and rescue operations have received an SOS message from the plane's emergency device at 4:26 am Cairo time (3.36am London time).

The statement said that the Egyptian military sent some planes and navy units to search for the plane, and that the Greece has sent some planes with coordination with Egypt

Egyptian aviation officials say plane 'crashed'
Egyptian aviation officials have told the Associated Press that the EgyptAir flight from Paris to Cairo with 66 passengers and crew on board has crashed.

They gave no further details on where the plane went down, but it was last spotted on radar 10 miles into Egyptian airspace over the  Mediterranean.

Flight passenger numbers were low

The Egyptair flight was carrying just 66 people when it disappeared, which is well below capacity for the model of plane.
The Airbus A320 family of planes can accommodate up to 220 people.
The flight times for the long-haul journey were good - departing Paris Charles de Gaulle at 11.09pm to fly through the night for a duration of around 10 hours, arriving in Cairo at approximately 9am.
While there is not yet any suggestion that the disappearance of the plane is terror-related, tourism numbers have plummeted in Egypt after recent incidents because the country’s terror risk is high.

Plane sent distress signal, Egypt military says

The Egyptian Civil Aviation Ministry says its military unit received a distress signal from the plane at 4:26am (local time).

That's more than an hour after the plane's scheduled landing time of 3:05am.

Earlier reports from EgyptAir's vice-chairman suggested no distress signal had been sent.
