Lambert v. Allen - Stop the Bashing
Everyone seems to be missing the biggest story about this year's final. Adam and Kris are friends, and fans worked hard to get the "Kradam Final". But why doesn't this story get covered? I guess that having two competitors and their fan bases supporting each other, doesn't sell many papers or drive a lot of hits.
Kris Allen and Adam Lambert have gone out of there way to tell us that they are friends and support each other. When Kris went to his Arkansas homecoming, he prominently wore Adam's blue nail polish on his thumb to show his support of Adam. Adam went home to San Diego with one bare fingernail to show his support of Kris. I believe Kris captured it best in a backstage interview after the final results were announced: "...over the last several weeks, we've been roommates and have become fast friends... No matter the outcome, we抳e both already won."
That's Kris, straight-forward and to the point -- "We've both already won'"
As contestants have left the show this year, there has been one consistent refrain -- We helped each other. I got that song suggestion from Kris. Adam helped me decide which to do. Matt gave me the idea. And so on. My personal favorate was when Alison appeared on the Top 4 show with great hair (for the first time), and told the audience the "Adam hooked me up with his girl" and see did an awesome job with my hair.
So where's my rant? I am tired of the American Idol machine trying to make this into a battle. I am tired of the press and online bloggers working so hard to make it seem like this is the "cultural clash of the century". I am tired of passionate fans believing that tearing down the other guy is the way to support the fav.
ENOUGH ALREADY. GIVE IT A REST.
I think it's time to celebrate the upcoming competition as one of the rarest kind -- a competition between two people who respect and support each other. May the best singer and performer win. |

Adam Lambert and Kris Allen share a secret
Adam Lambert and Kris Allen have a secret nail polish pact, according to Kris Allen Nation.
The American Idol duo, now affectionately known as "Kradam", have been roommates this entire season and have developed a bit of a bromance.
Adam reportedly painted Kris's thumbnail and removed the polish from his own thumbnail, telling Kris, "If you can carry around a piece of me, man, I can do the same for you."
On this week's show featuring the finalists making visits to their hometowns, a close-up shot of Kris's thumbnail revealed that it had been painted blue:
The polish had partially chipped off during the hometown visit, but when Kris performed Tuesday night, his fans noticed that it had been repainted.
Would Kris be in the finals with Adam had it not been for the nail polish? It must have given him something special, because he delivered perhaps his best performance of the season with "Heartless".
It's nice to know the final two are really good pals. I think Kradam make a sweet couple.
Never underestimate the power of the bromance, my friends. Or nail polish. |

Adam just called Kris a 'cutie' on Showbiz
hahaha did anybody just see that? omg hilarious!
They were doing an interview together and Adam was asked how they're such good friends for being in a competition together and Adam said "Well it doesn't hurt that he's such a cutie" and Kris got a funny look his his face and they both laughed. |
