Box office analysis
Exclusive By Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Thursday, March 22, 2007]

First weekend performance of latest release
One thing that continued to puzzle me over the last few weeks was a lackluster promotion and hype building around HAT TRICK. After all it came from one of the biggest film making house of the country, UTV, had a director of the caliber of Milan Luthria at the helm, boasted of an A star cast and last but not the least had its theme built around the World Cup cricket. With so many factors going in favor of the film, it was imperative that a lot of hype and hoopla should have been built around the film for at least 6 weeks, if not less.
Surprisingly, the makers opted for a late splurge in the promotion (which didn't quite happen) and the results were there to be seen. The film's opening has been way below mark and at best could be termed as below average. Mixed reviews for the film didn't help the cause either as the verdict ranged from delightful to very poor. Now this was quite surprising too since the film did boast of an interesting concept and definitely didn't deserve some scathing comments as it received from certain sections of the media.
Coming to the 'aam junta', sadly there hasn't been much heard from that front since they hardly visited the theaters in hordes to come up with any sort of word of mouth. As of now the film seems to be on a very shaky ground; especially with NAMASTEY LONDON arriving in the coming Friday. It would be quite a miracle if the film even manages to be an average earner.
Second release of the film was JUST MARRIED and in this case too the promotion was hardly inspiring. In fact it followed a trend that was completely reverse of HAT TRICK. In the case of JUST MARRIED, the film's promotion kick started on a uproarious mode but as the film's release date came closer, it stopped making any news.

In fact the promotion of the film virtually came to a standstill hence leaving one wondering if producers PNC had laid down their arms being pretty sure that after SALAAM E ISHQ and HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT. LTD., audience won't really be interested in watching a film about married couples.
Coupled with this the average merits of this Meghna Gulzar film and the outcome was crystal clear in the opening weekend. Welcomed by near empty houses, JUST MARRIED doesn't have anything going in it's favor from box office perspective in spite of lovable acts by Fardeen-Esha and Kirron Kher-Satish Shah.
Less said about the third release of the week, the better. Released by ADLABS, EIK DASTTAK was a little known movie that wasn't even known to any except for the cast and crew and those who had invested their money in the film. A complete non starter and a looser.
Last week's movies

RED, WATER, 1971 and SARHAD PAAR released in the week gone by and each of them have got for themselves a FLOP tag. In short, a a disastrous week for Bollywood. Collecting a mere 5 crore between them [RED - 3 crores, WATER - 1 crore, 1971 - 30 lakhs, SARHAD PAAR - 60 lakhs] inspite of playing at 650 cinemas collectively, they have turned out to be mega box office disappointments.
RED had its best collections coming from Mumbai [45 lakhs] but that too is hardly a number to cheer about. WATER was second best with 20 lakhs coming from Mumbai while both 1971 and SARHAD PAAR couldn't even touch 10 lakhs each in the city. Extremely poor. As things stand today, the films have been discounted from majority of cinemas in the second week and hence more than 80% fall for each of them is pretty much on the cards as the second week comes to a close.
For Vikram Bhatt - Aftab Shivdasani combo, this is yet another 'zor ka jhatka' even as the actor performed well yet again with his favorite director. Vikram showed style and sparks of gripping direction at places but the predictable script let him down. On the other hand WATER that made crores in Hollywood didn't create any splash in the country of its origin.
From the past
NISHABD crashed completely in its second week and that's a pity because the wrong promotion and bad run of Ram Gopal Varma have proved to be the film's undoing rather than any other reason. After a 5 crore opening week, the film got home just 1 crore more in the second week hence leading to a washout. What seemed to be at least a coverage last week has been proven wrong as the film is hardly in the running in its second week. The promotion of the film has stopped and the makers seem to have accepted the fate of the film.
With Delhi's collections reading best at 20 lakhs, this Amitabh Bachchan-Jiah Khan film has been rejected by both the masses and the classes hence reaffirming the point once again that it is hard to play with the image of Amitabh Bachchan. It happened with BOOM earlier, it has happened with NISHABD too now.

NEHLLE PE DEHLLA has been a mother of all disasters as it is hard to imagine a film of either Sanjay Dutt or Saif Ali Khan which has disappeared in such a hurry from the theaters. Agreed that the film's original DVDs were out on the day of the release but still a 90% + fall is hard to imagine. From a 3 crore opening, the film fell to mere 25 lakhs in the second week hence making it one of the biggest disasters of the year.
With all the mayhem surrounding it, the only film that is only gaining from strength to strength is HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT. LTD. After a 50% fall in the second week, it showed an improvement in its standing as it fell only by around 40% in spite of approximate 6 new film releases surrounding it. Getting home another 1.75 crores more, the film has now crossed the 10.5 crore mark and is aiming to touch the 13 crore mark.
A semi-hit now, the film is a winner for all practical purpose since it came sans any star power and is still the preferred choice of the movie goers. The word of mouth has been decent too that is resulting in consistent collections for the film.
EKLAVYA has fallen by another 70% in it's 4th week and with 30 lakhs more and a total reading 19 crores, now is the time for the film's original DVDs to be out. Now that's something that has been already done by GURU as after a successful run of 9 weeks (and still doing decent at select screens), the film is out on DVDs. At 41.5 crores, the film should end it run at 42 crores in a long run. On the other hand VIVAH may wait for some more weeks for the DVDs to be out as even in its 18th week, it has managed to collect in the excess of 25 lakhs, a feat that has hardly been accomplished by any film in the recent times.
In the future
Two contrasting films release this Friday, Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starring NAMASTEY LONDON and Irrfan Khan-Tabu starrer THE NAMESAKE. Promotion for former has ranged from being average to excellent and in current scenario it is touching upon the latter hence giving indications of a good opening. Since Friday sees an all important India v/s Sri Lanka clash at the box office, the evening and night shows will definitely take a big dip. But Saturday and Sunday are expected to be 70% + and probably even more if India goes on to win the match since people would be flocking the theaters in celebration. The opening could have been in an even higher range had there been no World Cup distraction but considering the star power and good record of Vipul Shah in the past [AANKHEN, WAQT], NAMASTEY LONDON is certainly a safe bet at the box office.
THE NAMESAKE is expected to follow the WATER route i.e. good acclaim but limited box office run. Even though the film is coming with go |

Irrfan & Tabu lip lock in THE NAMESAKE
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Friday, March 23, 2007]

Mira Nair directed THE NAMESAKE releases today in India and unlike many films in the recent past that have made a big deal about a peck or two, this one hasn't quite resorted to such tricks.
In spite of the film being abound in kisses and smooches, which is led all the way by the lead pair Irrfan Khan and Tabu, the PR machinery has thankfully refrained from using it a film's selling point. In fact not just Irrfan and Tabu but even Kal Penn and his American girlfriend and later Indian wife are shown sharing innumerous intimate moments together but neither the promotion nor the film's trailers have highlighted that to give the film an unwanted angle.
Having said that, it has to be added that none of these look vulgar or titillating by any means and to Mira Nair's credits, she has shot them in an utmost classy manner! |

SSI - Not just a metaphor but truly a film about cricket
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Friday, March 23, 2007]

From the beginning of the promotion of HAT TRICK till very recently, director Milan Luthria had emphasized on the fact that the film was not 'about' cricket but had the sport as just a metaphor. Still many missed the point and the result was that there were many who were left disappointed as they missed the actual action on screen.
Well, the complain may go off soon as they get to see some real action happening on ground a la LAGAAN as Sanjay Suri's SAY SALAAM INDIA releases all over on March 30. And that's because here cricket is not just a metaphor but heart, body and soul of the film. The film completely revolves around the game of cricket as Suri plays a Under-19 cricket coach.
The film begins and ends with cricket as a thrilling game of cricket between two rival teams forms an exciting climax of the film. There are fights, tussles, arguments, mocking, euphoria - all emotions at their peak one after another with just winner in the end - cricket! |

NAMASTEY LONDON to take best overseas opening?
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Friday, March 23, 2007]

Will Akshay Kumar get his best overseas opening ever with NAMASTEY LONDON?
Industry is thinking aloud about this to be truly possible as his latest film gets a global release. Reasons are aplenty. First and foremost Akshay Kumar has really turned out to be an actor with a Midas touch with majority of his films turning out to be immensely successful at the box office due to his wide mass appeal. In fact even a film like HUMKO DEEWANA KAR GAYE that just about made it to the coverage mark in India was a decent success in UK, hence reaffirming the point that Akshay is one of the hottest star overseas.
Secondly, the film has 'London' in it's title and has Akshay playing a Punjabi boy who woos his wife in London hence giving NRI audience yet another opportunity to have their lovable 'punjab da puttar' amidst them in their own land. With the music already being a good success and the film genuinely carrying good pre-release reports, the above two factors only make NAMASTEY LONDON to be a valid candidate for being Akshay's hottest chance of scoring yet another box office victory. |

Tusshar gets nostalgic about his first love
IndiaGlitz [Saturday, March 24, 2007]

Tusshar Kapoor has got nostalgic about his first love, on-screen of course!
Much has been said and written about Kareena Kapoor's track 'It's Rocking Yaara Kabhi Ishq To Karo' from the forthcoming film 'Kya Love Story Hai'. The track is being edited at present so that it goes on air next week.
Tusshar Kapoor saw the track upon landing from Bangkok on Thursday and was absolutely floored. It may be recalled that Kareena was Tusshar's first co-star in 'Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai' several years back. "It's among the best visuals I've seen of late. Bebo's outdone herself yet again and looks remarkable."
Tusshar is extremely excited about the overwhelming response to the film's soundtrack, and specifically, Kareena's video. "I'm not sure whether I should say this but it's even better than some of the funky Britney Spears videos I've seen in recent times." |

Akshaye Khanna - A fashion icon?
IndiaGlitz [Saturday, March 24, 2007]

Normally reserved Akshaye Khanna was the cynosure of everyone's eyes when he walked the ramp designer Manav Gangwani. He was the talk of the fashion fraternity in Delhi. In fact Manav Gangwani had asked him to choose between 4 outfits & Akshaye choose the Dhoti outfit.
When asked on how he felt walking the ramp for the first time in the fashion week and his views on fashion, he said, "I enjoyed it thoroughly, it was fun, and fashion to me is an extension of your personality."
A fashion insider commented, "The fashion circle was truly stunned when they saw Akshaye walking the ramp. We always knew him to be a handsome & an iconic actor, but he looked so cool when he walked the ramp. It was good to see him in such a different light" |

Arjun Rampal signed for KAANTE 2
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Monday, March 26, 2007]

After Suneil Shetty, Arjun Rampal has been signed for KAANTE 2.
It must be mentioned that from the original star cast that comprised of six lead protagonists, only Sanjay Dutt and Suneil Shetty have been so far confirmed. With Arjun signed on for the film, it only adds on to the hunk brigade. One also tends to believe that Kumar Gaurav would be a certain inclusion to this Sanjay Gupta film since he was the only man who was shown to walk out alive in the film's climax.
With KAANTE 2 in his kitty now, things are certainly looking bright for Arjun who also has diverse and interesting films like OM SHANTI OM, DUS KAHANIYAAN, MERIDIAN and THE LAST LEAR coming up. |

Meet the men who got Saif on fast track in TRRP
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Monday, March 26, 2007]

If you are wondering whether Yash Raj Films' next release TA RA RUM PUM is yet another mushy romantic outing for director Siddharth Anand and actors Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee then that's not really true. Because apart from all the family feel, romance, songs and feel good moments, there is also ample action in the film.
The two men who have made it possible? Hollywood action directors - Steve Kelso and George Aguilar. Both Steve and George have a huge repertoire of work they have done in Hollywood over the years.
Steve has been associated with films like MINORITY REPORT, OCEANS 11, PERAL HARBOUR, SOLDIER, ARMAGEDDON, CON AIR, THE LOST WORLD - JURASSIC PARK, THE ROCK, BATMAN FOREVER and dozens of other well know films.
On the other hand George Aguilar has just released THE DEPARTED to his credit apart from films like ALL THE KING'S MEN, MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND, THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, THE PINK PANTHER, LORD OF WAR, WAR OF THE WORLD, LADDER 49, GANGS OF NEW YORK, DIE ANOTHER DAY and many more in his 100 odd films career that spans across 2 decades. |

Post RED, Amrita Arora 'paints' the town differently
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Monday, March 26, 2007]

Amrita Arora may have expected to paint the town 'red' after her film RED released. But post the debacle of the film, she is painting the town with a different color!
She has been roped in as a brand ambassador of a leading paint manufacturing company and the first promo of the company features her in a double role. Well, good for her as this at least gives her some good screen space, something that has been missing in her last films.
Coming to the promo, it features Amrita as a bubbly girl who gets into a sweet little argument with her look alike when it comes to a choice of paint and style in her room. How she gets the right paint on her walls and wins the battle forms the crux of the script! |

TRRP promotion kick starts - FINALLY!
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Monday, March 26, 2007]

Aaah, now that's what one calls as a sign of relief! And that comes in the wake of promotion of the most anticipated film in the coming month - TA RA RUM PUM.
Ever since the release and subsequent super-success of GURU, none of the releases after that have met with a similar success. Films like HONEYMOON TRAVELS PVT. LTD., TRAFFIC SIGNAL and BLACK FRIDAY have made some money for themselves but the poor show of both EKLAVYA and SALAAM E ISHQ have only got the overall box office to tilt towards the red.
This is the reason why it seems like a pleasant sight when NAMASTEY LONDON gives an indication of a good opening. With the promotion of Saif Ali Khan/Rani Mukherjee starrer TRRP finally beginning this weekend, there are now good hopes ahead of box office revival happening soon.
The film is directed by Siddharth Anand and is his second directorial venture after his hit debut flick SALAAM NAMASTE. |

No smooches, no long hair - It's difficult to survive
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Monday, March 26, 2007]

Promotion of Sherlyn Chopra's RED SWASTIK has begun and it seems that finally her dream of featuring in an author backed role would come true.
When asked how she'd survive in big bad Bollywood, the newbie has a mischievous smile on her face as she says, "How can I survive? I won抰! See, I don't have long and lustrous hair. I don't wear contact lenses. I don't do 17 smooches. And guess what! I don't even hail from UK. Oh God, what am I gonna do!"
Whoa whoa, now that's some real wicked sense of humor. Are the czars of comic films - David Dhawan, Anees Bazmi and Sangeeth Sivan listening? |

When Tusshar's 'Love Story' came across 'Cash'
IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, March 27, 2007]

In Cape Town, while shooting for his forthcoming film 'Kya Love Story Hai', Tusshar Kapoor was desperate to find a gym where he could work out in the evenings after shoot.
Much to his relief, he found one not so far from the villa where he was staying and made sure he went there religiously every night after the shoot packed up. "It was one of the biggest gyms I've ever seen," Tusshar confesses. "It was almost like a studio. There was everything from weights, steppers, treadmills and hydraulics. I made sure I jogged to the gym at night."
Is it true that Tusshar would work out with his colleagues Zayed Khan & Riteish Deshmukh in the same gym? "It so happened that the unit of 'Cash' also happened to be in Cape Town at the same time as our unit of 'Kya Love Story Hai'. So we'd invariably meet up in the gym!" he laughs.
Kya Love Story Hai releases all over on April 20 and is being distributed internationally by Studio 18. |

Another Shetty rumor bites the dust
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, March 27, 2007]

Shilpa Shetty is not running the London Marathon.
Confirming the news, her spokesperson and publicist Dale Bhagwagar said, "News about Shilpa Shetty running the London Marathon is false. She is not aware of it, neither has she ever spoken about it. The reports are completely untrue."
It must be mentioned that reports were making rounds about how her celebrity status had made her a confirmed celebrity to be running the London Marathon for a cause. But with the official confirmation denying the same, it is time for yet another rumor about Shetty, who has been one of the most sought after celebrities in the country today, to bite the dust! |

GURU editor snips DELHII HEIGHTS
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, March 27, 2007]

After making GURU a crisp movie viewing experience, editor Sreekar Prasad is reported to have done a wonderful with his latest assignment DELHII HEIGHTS.
Says Jimmy Sheirgill, lead actor of the film, "It was great to be working with this unit from down south as each of the people involved behind the screens has been such an accomplished technician. Now look at the editor of the film, Sreekar Prasad. He has done a fabulous job with the film and has made it a great viewing experience. Also it is commendable to see that someone who has edited films like DIL CHAHTA HAI, SAATHIYA, YUVA and GURU has now gone ahead and edited a film that belongs to a completely different genre."
Directed by debutant Anand Kumar, DELHII HEIGHTS is a light hearted take on the upper middle class couples residing in the high rise apartments of Delhi and stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Neha Dhupia, Rohit Roy, Simone Singh, Om Puri and Kamini Khanna.

Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, March 27, 2007]

Vikram Bhatt couldn't scare the audience to get into the auditoriums on Friday, the 13th of April with his horror flick FEAR. But he would eventually have people coming in to watch another film of his, this time a light hearted take on life and happiness, LIFE MEIN KABHIE KABHIEE.

The film has Aftab Shivdasani and Dino Morea leading the starcast along with Sameer Dattani, Anuj Sawhney, Nauheed Cyrusi, Anjori Alag, Koel Puri and Pinky Harwani. Video watch - Pray For Me Brother - Brilliant
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, March 28, 2007]

A.R. Rahman has been known for his contribution to social causes. This is the reason why when he comes up with just a single, even that makes a lot of news since it deals with global issue of poverty that comes due to war and terror.
As a joint initiative of A.R. Rahman Foundation and Nokia Nseries, 'Pray For Me Brother' is a song that is dedicated to inspire people to eradicate poverty from our world. Conceived and composed in aid of the United Nations Millennium development goal to eradicate poverty by 2015, Pray For Me Brother' has been imaginatively shot by acclaimed film maker Bharatbala in USA.
The first thing that strikes about this video is the format in which it has been shot. Unlike the 16:9 anamorphic format in which most films are shot, the one for 'Pray For Me Brother' takes an opposite route as it has its frames set in vertical rather than horizontal mode.
That's the reason why the music videos strikes in the very first go since the entire shot taking gives a different dimension to the visuals that appear on screen. Add to it the Black & White texture of the video and it's time to celebrate a 5 minutes journey that is truly international appeal.
The music video takes the audience though a journey of a couple comprising of a black man and white woman who are on the verge of a breakup. Traveling on road in a car through the streets of LA, they come across number of junctures that educate them about the essence of life and the gift of being privileged.

On this trip through the busy and not so busy roads, they come across various hoardings that tell the tales of poverty, suffering, war, helplessness and lost dreams through the faces of underprivileged and those who had lost their homes and families. Especially striking are the shots that feature a woman holding her hands in a prayer with her empty eyes conveying all that she needed, another woman holding the picture of someone close to her, a child with a tear in his eyes and nowhere to go and a man who stares in emptiness as he remembers about the world that is lost.
The essence of the song is to bring the feeling of compassion and support for the underprivileged and help the poor by not just the materialistic means but a prayer in unison. Lyrics by Rahman and Blaaze say it all as they come up with a universal anthem that could hold true in any part of the world, whether it was first or the third world.
Music of the track is simply phenomenal as it has just the right orchestra in place which has a universal appeal while being truly western in the manner it is set. The lyrics simply touch your heart while the rendition by Rahman and Blaaze [in rap] is top class. Also commendable is the fact that in spite of a message driving the entire number, 'Pray For Me Brother' doesn't turn preachy at all and would be picked up by people across all age groups who would love to play it on in a repeat mode due to it's soothing nature.
Apart from the couple around whom the concept revolves, the video also features Rahman for a good enough duration as he gets all passionate while singing in the middle of a desert. With a rock star setting and a mike to hold, Rahman follows Bharatbala's instructions to the T and delivers a performance that justifies his standing as a top international star that we have in India. In addition, there is a dance going on the streets of LA which is typical to the city of LA and conveys what's going on in the world today.
Overall a top class effort that makes you get into an introspective mode and offers you reasons to think about your own today and what future may have in store for you, 'Pray For Me Brother' is a spirited effort that needs to be lauded.
It is great to see an initiative like this being backed by all those who matter and a superb all around contribution by means of music and the video only makes it further noticeable. Great job by everyone involved and hats off to Rahman for pulling it off so well! |

"SLBB is my acid test" - Upen Patel
IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, March 28, 2007]

Upen Patel seems quite pleased with the positive reviews he has received from critics for 'Namastey London', though he had a small role in the film. And now he seems pretty excited about his forthcoming film 'Shaka Laka Boom Boom' where he plays the lead role.
Upen plays the role of an Indian Boy Raghav who has dreams to be a singer and goes to the US and becomes Reggie. He plays a very energetic character who is very lively, ambitious, aggressive & focused.
The film is about two warring musicians & their professional rivalry in the creative field. The film has always been in the news for various reasons. One of them being that Celina's role in the film is inspired by a PR professional.
Upen is gung ho about the way he has been stylishly presented in the film. He also seems pleased with the buzz the film is generating for the right reasons with the music becoming a rage.
Says Upen, "I am so glad at the way I have been presented by Suneelji, he has done his best for a newcomer. It's my first film where I am playing an interesting lead character. In '36 China Town', I played a small cameo which got me noticed. In 'Namastey London', the critics have been very supportive towards me."
He adds, "Though I was called wooden in '36 China Town' by the critics, I took it positively and that only urged me to do better in 'Namastey London'. Moreover in 'Shaka Laka Boom Boom', I have grown as an actor since my debut. I am thankful to the critics."
Even the industry is betting very high on this newcomer and are taking notice of his strides in Bollywood.
Says Suneel Darshan, "He will go places. He is sincere, hard working and ready to learn, besides his extremely high screen presence. In fact I am quite upset about certain reports in the media that are trying to paint him with a bad boy image."
Upen seems unfazed about such criticism. He says, "It's Ok, the media is doing its job, I have no complaints. In fact the media has got me here. I am only optimistic that 'Shaka Laka Boom Boom' has a great opening, as we have all worked really hard for it. I have put everything on hold because this film is actually my acid test."
He adds, "I am very thankful to Suneelji. He has stood by me & supported me. I hope to live up to his expectations."
Besides numerous film offers, Upen has already been signed by Suneel Darshan for his next film 'Karle Pyaar Kar Le." |

"Both DELHII HEIGHTS and ECKLL have beautiful tracks" - Neha Dhupia
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, March 28, 2007]

Neha Dhupia is highly charged about the music of her forthcoming films DELHII HEIGHTS and EK CHALIS KI LAST LOCAL. Reason? It's not just the script and the roles that make her love her films and root for them, it is also the films' songs which make her excited.
Prod her further and she says, "While we all can see the way 'Laaree Choote' [ECKLL] has caught on ever since the promotional video of the number was out, there are two more numbers that have really turned out to be too good. There is a song by newcomer Ankur called ''Bheegi Seeli Si'. He has sung, written and composed the number and done a phenomenal job with it. It is a nice romantic song that goes very well with the narrative."
And which is the other one? "'Ekka Chauka'. Now that's the kind of number which you call a solid kick-ass track! It's quite a dark, haunting yet enjoyable track which would make you sit at the edge of your seat. Let me not say anything beyond that because you need to see it in the film and understand what I mean."
How about the music of her coming Friday release DELHII HEIGHTS? "Oh it is so lovely, Rabbi has made such sweet compositions," she says fondly, "Normally when you play on a music CD, you select song no. 1, 3 and 6 and put them on a repeat mode. But in case of DELHII HEIGHTS it is just not possible to do that. Each of the songs has turned out to be so well, whether it is 'Kitni Der Tak', 'Dilli Bas', 'Holi' number or the others. But if you ask me, my personal favorite is 'Tere Bin'. What a number! Even though it appears in a montage and I am not lip synching there, it is a beautiful song to play on." |

'Roobaroo' singer croons anthem song of SAY SALAAM INDIA
Joginder Tuteja, IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, March 28, 2007]

Everyone who loves Hindi film music would surely have heard of the immensely popular tracks 'Roobaroo' and 'Paathshaala' that were an integral part of last year's best film RANG DE BASANTI. The singer who made it possible? Naresh Iyer.
The young guy, who has been busy collecting awards, rewards and acclaim ever since the songs became chartbuster, has come up with another fun yet inspirational track 'Haiyya Haiyya' for this Friday's release SAY SALAAM INDIA.
A racy track that inspires the youth to move ahead in life while ignoring all the obstacles that come in the way, it is yet another motivational track by the young boy who certainly seems to be having his stocks rising in the world of Bollywood music scene.
Directed by debutant Subhash Kapoor, SAY SALAAM INDIA stars Sanjay Suri, Milind Soman, Sandhya Mridul and Manoj Pahwa in the lead. |
