'Kami selesa bersama Rexy'
"Kami banyak menunjukkan peningkatan termasuk muncul beregu wanita No. 1 dunia tahun lepas dan menjuarai beberapa kejohanan.
Menurut Pei Tty, berdasarkan faktor usia, lebih sukar sekiranya dia terpaksa mendapatkan khidmat jurulatih lain terutama jika jurulatih baru ingin mengubah corak permainan mereka berdua.

EPISODE 4 : LETS WORK TOGETHER
Friday January 29, 2010
Rexy wants Kim Her to groom back-up doubles
KUALA LUMPUR: Former international Tan Kim Her will be given the task to groom the doubles players in the national back-up squad.
That is the plan of the doubles chief coach, Rexy Mainaky.
The Indonesian feels that Kim Her, who comes with the credentials of having coached England and South Korea, would be the right man to guide this group of shuttlers.
The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) have appointed Kim Her as a national coach but they have yet to clearly define his role in their set-up. A decision will be taken based on Rexy’s proposal at the BAM coaching and training committee meeting soon.
The back-up doubles players are now under the charge of Pang Cheh Chang.
“The main focus for us now is to build up the back-up players and turn them into world beaters. We want these players to have quality in their game,” said Rexy.
“Kim Her’s presence will add depth to our coaching set-up. He has the experience of training the best from England and South Korea.
“We cannot put him (Kim Her) in the junior set-up as it would be a waste of our resources. It will be ideal for him to be with the back-up squad.”
wahhh .. rexy so professional & rational ...
On Cheh Chang’s status, he said: “I will look into it. He is quite flexible. He has helped out in the elite squads for men and women. He has the knowledge and experience. He will fit in anywhere.”
On his recent outbursts soon after Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong claimed the Malaysian Open title last Sunday, Rexy said: “I would not have reacted that way without a reason.
“Sometimes, rumours and uncertainties can make one uncomfortable. Anyway, it’s a thing of the past and I think it is best that we forget about it and move forward.”
Then, Rexy defended his credibility as the chief coach and the outburst raised speculations that he was unhappy with his working environment. Just two weeks earlier, the BAM had kept him in the dark over Kim Her’s appointment.
Following his outburst, the BAM gave Rexy an assurance that his job is safe as long as he performed his tasks diligently.
“I want to stay positive and move on. For now, the next major event is the Thomas Cup Finals and I will give my best to prepare the team for that,” he said.
Malaysia are looking at naming four singles and three pairs for the Finals, which will be held at the Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil from May 9-16.

Fairuz-Zakry lose place in All-England after poor start
By RAJES PAUL
KUALA LUMPUR: The second ranked national men’s pair of Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari-Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif have to pay a heavy price for their poor start to the season at the Malaysian Open last week.
Yesterday, the duo were omitted from the squad for the centenary All-England championships, which will be held in Birmingham from March 9-14.
At the Malaysian Open, Fairuzi zuan-Zakry were beaten in the first round by former world champions Tony Gunawan-Howard Bach of the United States and their early exit did not go down well with the coaching panel.
Out of the game: Mohd Fairuzizuan(right) and Mohd Zakry have been told to skip the German Open and All-England to iron out their problems.
And to make it worse, national doubles chief coach Rexy Mainaky announced that only the reigning Malaysian Open champions, Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong, were assured of places in the team for the Thomas Cup Finals, which will be held in May.
Rexy has thrown the challenge to the beleaguered Fairuzizuan-Zakry to prove their worth at the Swiss Open in Basel from March 16-21.
He said that he had to be fair to all his players.
“As a coach, I have to treat everyone equally. Fairuzizuan-Zakry had been given a lot of opportunities. They have the experience but yet, there have been no good results from them,” said Rexy.
“They will skip both the German Open (March 2-7) and the All-England. We want them to work at home to iron out their problems. Let them be really prepared before going out again at the Swiss Open. I have spoken to them and they understood the situation.
“They (Fairuzizuan and Zakry) are also not guaranteed to be in the team for the Thomas Cup Finals. For now, the race is open for the second and third pairs. I will name them in April.”
Three back-up pairs are in contention for places in the team. They are Chan Peng Soon-Lim Khim Wah, Mak Hee Chun-Tan Wee Kiong and Ong Soon Hock-Hoon Thien How. All of them have the chance to impress the coaches in the German Open.
