Centipedes (from Latin prefix centi-, "hundred", and Greek ποδός podos, "foot") are arthropods belonging to the class Chilopoda and the Subphylum Myriapoda. They are elongated metameric animals with one pair of legs per body segment. A key trait uniting this group is a pair of venom claws or forcipules formed from a modified first appendage. This also means that centipedes are an exclusively predatory taxon, which is uncommon.

Long-legged Centipede

This fellow has only 30 to 40 legs and a relatively short body. In a strange kind of a way it's classified as related more to the millipedes than to the centipedes. It's fast though its legs are very fragile and easily broken when in motion. The limbs fast regenerate and the total amount of extremities possessed by a single individual over its life span may be considerable.

tp, aku terjumpa satu tempat ni, diorg jual wooooooooo long legged centipedes (lipan kaki panjang) as exotic pet!

I have had these guys for over a month now. They come in with little white mites but after thier shed you can get rid of those which I have done. They do not have mites anymore. I only have 2 available so its first come first serve on these guys. Will have 2 more as soon as I get rid of thier mites also. They are $70 each. Ever seen a house centipede? Thats what they look like but WAY bigger. If you order one and need to know thier care please email me as it is important you take care of these correctly.

aku pernah camping pastu bau busuk cam bau kayu reput.. sekali lalu uat gonggok, besar dia mcm jari hantu tu.. bila bergulung mcm donat pun ade aku tgk..

klu kt utan tu bnyk binatang yg pelik2 kan.. tp kt umah, biasa yg aku jumpa lipan yg kaki pendek je.. kaki panjang tu tak pernah lg..
