Upcoming Dorama Special (SP)/telemovie

Happy!
Network: TBS
Cast: Saki Aibu, Mao Kobayashi, Junnosuke Taguchi (KAT-TUN), Sho Aikawa, Nagisa Katahira
Time: 7 April 2006 (Friday), 10.00 pm
Official website: http://www.tbs.co.jp/happy2006/

[/img]

Saki Aibu will be starring in the TBS 2006 drama special (SP), "Happy!" based on the manga by Naoki Urasawa who is famous for his popular works like "YAWARA!","MONSTER" and "20 seki Shonen". Aibu will play the lead character Miyuki Umino who aims to be a professional tennis player so as to repay the debts of her family. The manga was serialised between 1994-1999 and sold more than 8 million copies. The story is on a 18-year-old senior high school student who has to take care of her 3 young siblings when her parents pass away. However, due to her elder brother running up debts of 250 million yen, she decides to be a professional tennis player so as to earn money and clear the debts. As Aibu has never played tennis before, she began training since last year so as to manage the tennis scenes in the drama.

Mao Kobayashi will play the role of Chouko Takikezaki who is the rival of Miyuki. Chouko is the daughter of a company's CEO and a strong tennis player. One of her pet phrases to Miyuki whom she looks down on, would be "Sasatto kienasai, kono hae onna" (Just get lost, you housefly-like woman). Kobayashi admits that it was hard to say this line since she doesn't behave so aggressively in real life but it got better as she practised it repeatedly at home. Kobayashi used to be in the tennis team when she was in junior high so she is now trying to find a way to strike elegant poses while playing so as to show this characteristic of Chouko.

KAT-TUN member Junnosuke Taguchi will be acting in "Happy!" as the only son and heir to a conglomerate, Keiichiro Ootori who is also a tennis champion and Miyuki's (Saki Aibu) love interest. Taguchi took part in the filming of a tennis match involving Miyuki and 1000 extras where his character was supposed to be there to cheer her on. As he has to play a tennis champion in this drama, Taguchi underwent training and got his fellow KAT-TUN member Jin Akanishi who knows how to play tennis, to spar with him at times. Initially, Taguchi lost all the time but he has started to get better recently.

bagi aku Gokusen 1 lagi best dari Gokusen 2 sebab Gokusen 2 cuma copycat Gokusen 1 je, minus budak2 yg berbeza...ada beberapa character yg sama of course, macam cikgu Yankumi, n then pengetua tu...n then ada satu watak dari Gokusen 1 (Kumai) yg dah grad high school muncul balik dalam Gokusen 2...buleh je paham kalau tengok Gokusen 2 tak tengok Gokusen 1, tapi kalau tengok Gokusen 1, cerita Yankumi lebih elaborate dan kita at least buleh faham kenapa Yankumi is Yankumi...dalam Gokusen 2 character Yankumi tak berkembang sangat, mentang2 la citer dia dah di'explore' dalam Gokusen 1...

Upcoming dorama special (SP)/telemovie

Akai Kiseki (Red Miracle)
Network: TBS
Cast: Kyoko Fukada, Satoshi Tokushige, Uno Kanda, Shojiro Kanda
Time: 9 & 10 April 2006 (Sunday & Monday), 9.00 pm

The sudden announcement to change the production procedures for "Akai Shogeki", the last of the Akai series is relatively unheard in the TV scene. Originally, TBS had intended to remake the three instalments which starred Yamaguchi Momoe 30 years ago. However, Kyoko Fukada's agency Horipro had objected to her playing a shot putt athlete as in the initial setting by quoting reasons like she wasn't suitable for such an image. As such, the decision was made to ditch the initial procedures for a remake and come up with a new story renamed as "Akai Kiseki" which will be shown in April. Fukada will now play an ice-skater who falls in love with an ex-murderer and has been receiving lessons from ex-Olympic skater Midori Ito since November last year.
