Yup.. teknik enfleurage digunakan untuk mendapatkan dan menyimpan kewangian dari bunga tu.. my choice of perfume is always NOT flower based....
Anyway...
diorang gunakan fat from animals for this purpose, and then put the flowers onto it.. the fat will then extract the scent from the flowers.. not necessarily lard (pig fat), but most of the times memang lard... tapi teknik ni kira teknik outdated lah.. perfume industry dah tak guna teknik sebab mahal katanya... nowadays perfume industry guna teknik steam distillation and other modern techniques untuk extract wangian tu... TAPI, depa masih guna teknik enfleurage untuk extract wangian dari bunga yang sensitive towards heat macam harum sundal malam dan lily of the valley... bunga-bunga gini tak sesuai pakai steam distillation...
