Was it just a week ago that I was ready to call this season for James Durbin? Well hold that thought because this week’s rankings could be subtitled “House of the Rising Haley” after her stock shot up in our polls. The former middle-of-the-pack singer surpassed Durbin and looks ready to challenge Scotty for the top spot.
Jennifer Lopez may have thought it was a terrible idea to sing a song no one has ever heard (ironically JLo performed a song from her album the next night…) but coupling Lady Gaga and The Animals last week on American Idol 2011 was exactly what it took for Haley Reinhart for to go up 17 points to 28% in our poll rankings. That’s the single greatest jump any singer has earned all season. While Haley’s climb was impressive she managed to fall short of first place by just one point leaving Scotty in control again this week with 29% of the vote.
On the other side of that coin was James Durbin who fell 19 points down to 27% from last week’s dominating position of 46%. Perhaps James needs to remember not to rest on his laurels like he did with his “Now” song that felt more like a victory lap effort than an honest to goodness “in it to win it” performance.
Then there’s Lauren who stands alone at the bottom of the heap. Her danger buffer, Jacob Lusk, is now gone after three straight weeks of 4% of the vote. Haley proved that anyone can get themselves out of the ditch, but Lauren will have to work hard this week to keep from being eliminated.

After Jacob's elimination, I have to say it's going to be really interesting now from this week onwards, everyone stands a chance and they ARE IN IT TO WIN IT!

Scotty McCreery:
I love when he delivered Gone, it showed that he can do some uptempo ones, but not a fan of Always on My Mind, kinda shaky voice...so if this week he mixes uptempo and ballad again in 2 song choices with perfection without that shaky thing, FINAL SPOT is his though still in Top 4 stage. I'm sure he won't get shaky often, just last week was kinda weird. I wish judges be true about their comments, sometimes when he was so good, the comments were mediocre, sometimes when he was not good, the comments were however too good. ***As a whole, no matter that, I am rooting for Scotty for the win this season, so go Scotty!
2. James Durbin
Yes, he never earn a bad comment AT ALL, but please, judges were overrating his SCREAMING voice, he was over the top, and people get relax week by week, assuming he was going to be safe no matter what. Here's the thing, he's singing Don't Stop Believing this week, i'm sure he'll get good comments again, cuz I can imagine how is he going to deliver, different rendition, which I am going to DISLIKE A LOT however. No biased, but James is not the type of Idol which will go further in future career like Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, trust me...**If he goes bottom this week, i will not be surprised, if he gets eliminated, i'm okay with it, and i know people are going to bombard also, but it is what it is, even if he wins, like i said, FLOP! GUARANTEE 100% (James, I really don't like you, not bout pimping, but you dont hv the Idol STYLE)
3. Lauren Alaina
OKay, bottom 2 last week was so not deserving. FLAT ON THE FLOOR was so great, though UNCHAINED MELODY flopped a bit. I am just afraid she loses her confidence after her bottom 2, if she stays calm, just go ahead, with good performance, plus Fans pumped-up votes due to bottom 2 last week, she will either be no.2 or no.3 vote getter this week, won't be eliminated.
4. Haley Reinhart
Haley is the easiest to predict. Let me tell you, Haley for me from beginning of the season, I don't like, YUCKS...Now, getting better and kinda LIKE her, erhm her voice, not the person (I LIKE PIA TOSCANO BETTER as a PACKAGE). She just need one song out of two this week with GREAT POSITIVE comments, then she will be safe for sure. If her comments were mediocre for both songs...get ready for ELIMINATION for sure if LAUREN kills one of her performance.

I have to say one thing...
People who don't mention Scotty in FINALE or saying SCOTTY is boring is because they don't listen to country music...
Not all, but 95%....
People always saying Scotty don't have vocal (screaming) like James, but genres are different, there's no shouting or "screeching" in country music...Scotty is so pure country, with smooth voice and his "story-telling", people definitely vote for him, and these are people who appreciate country music...
Sebelum Season 10 mula memang dah confirm either Scotty/Lauren akan menang
Now rasanya producer realise Scotty > popular so confirm they do everything they can to ensure budak lembu ni menang.
They need another money making winner like Carrie Underwood to ensure AI terus hidup. Only country can ensure that, rock James & blues Haley cannot guarantee album sales.
