let's see. One of my co-workers is a friend I've known since college (because we worked as tutor together too, not because I socialized). That's one. The other co-worker is a 30-year old guy, and he lives in this city too. That's two. The other 4 guys in our team are all over-50 guys, who live somewhere else. Other guys at work I know are the ones I know gitu-gitu jek. I've never even had lunch with anybody, except when our team goes out for retirement lunch last few weeks, engineers week, and when I first joint the team. Other than those I always eat lunch by myself while watching a movie.

Oh yeah, the other two people I know here are my neighbors, that I've only hung out with twice.

It's not like I don't like people or something. It's just that usually I expect people to have something to talk to me about, because I have no idea how to initiate a conversation. I don't know how to make small talk. And I'm not good at knowing someone through another person. I'm shy, but only the people who really know me can tell.

I should go back to LA this weekend.

Biasalah new place, takes time to make friends. Lagipun you baru join co. tu kan, so you kena lebih outgoing compared to the ones yang dah lama kat sana. Lagipun, the older people around you are probably married with kids, so they probably have their own circle of friends (read: other tired, married couples

)
Tengok ada tak orang buat club or sports team or something. Sign up la. Usually, if people have the same interests, conversation is no problem.

I guess I can use the excuse that I'm new here for not knowing too many people. But actually, I wasn't really outgoing when I was in LA for 4 years. I always had some homework to take care of, or some kids to teach. I'm quite a nerd alright.

But yeah, I'm planning to join a dance studio some time, coz I looove to tango.

oh yeah. That's why every night I talk on the phone with somebody, to avoid turning insane. I know I will if I don't do that.
