Actress Joan Collins laments the lack of beautiful actresses in Hollywood, insisting audiences are "starved of gorgeous people" on the big screen. The glamorous "Dynasty" star believes the modern film industry would be much more exciting if studios cast more attractive stars in their movies - and she's convinced Angelina Jolie is the only actress who lives up to the legends of the silver screen.
Collins tells Britain's Hello! magazine, "I have to say, there aren't that many good-looking actresses around today. I mean, there's Angelina Jolie and there's... Angelina Jolie. But I can't think of any really beautiful actresses. Jennifer Aniston is cute, but I wouldn't call her beautiful. She's no Ava (Gardner) or Lana (Turner). I think that is why (British singer) Cheryl Cole is popular - because she is just so pretty and the public are starved of gorgeous people." |

Jolie-Pitt Kids Start School in Budapest
School is in session for the Jolie-Pitt kids. On Monday morning, Shiloh, 4, Pax, nearly 7, and Maddox, 9, began school in Budapest (no sign of Zahara, 5). A source tells UsMagazine.com parents and teachers have been ordered to sign security agreements stating that they won't chat to the press. If they disobey, they may be subject to a fine; if the contact with the media continues, their child could even be suspended from the school until further notice, the source says. While the kids are being schooled, mom and dad are focusing on work. Brad Pitt is continuing to shoot Moneyball in Boston this week. Last week, Jolie was spotted in Hungary beginning work on her directorial debut, a Bosnian love story. |

Brad Pitt paid Angelina Jolie another visit on the set of her directorial debut in Hungary Wednesday.
The two were spotted sharing several smooches on a bench.
Pitt, 46, was also seen taking photos of a beaming Jolie, 35.
On Thursday, Jolie released a statement, firing back at critics who are spreading erroneous reports that her still-untitled movie -- a love story between a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman during the 1992-95 war - centers on a rape victim who falls for her captor. "There are many twists in the plot that address the sensitive nature of the relationship between the main characters, and that will be revealed once the film is released," she said. "My hope is that people will hold judgment until they have seen the film." |
