Soccer Player Patrice Evra Gives Shoutout to Running Man
Patrice Evra, a French soccer player known for his friendship with Korean soccer star Park Ji Sung, recently participated in the charity campaign “Shoot for Love.” The challenge asks players to hit an oversized archery target from ten meters away with a soccer ball, donating $10 for each point scored up to a maximum of $1000 per player.
Players are then asked to nominate other players for the challenge. Fans of the players can also donate to the campaign, which is run by the Guus Hiddink Foundation, Be Kind, and the Korean Association for Children’s Cancer and Leukemia (KACLC).
Patrice Evra, nominated by Park Ji Sung, says through a video message that he wants to beat his friend’s score. In the end, he scores 89 points, putting him at the top end of the leaderboard. He then nominates Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo, and current teammate Paul Pogba, before going on to give a shoutout to the cast of “Running Man” and encouraging them to also participate in the campaign.
In 2013, Patrice Evra made an appearance on SBS’s “Running Man” along with Park Ji Sung. When asked why he nominated the “Running Man” members, he says, “I still miss and think about them.”
A representative of Be Kind says, “Through this challenge, Patrice Evra was able to express his affection for Korea and show that he still remembers the “Running Man” cast and is even still in contact with Kim Jong Kook.”
