Lets face it, finales rarely produce epic performances. In fact, according to WNTS, the only finale performances to ever rate in the Top 10 of their respective seasons have been Clay's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and Archuleta's "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", both of which rated towards the end of their respective Top 10 list.
Of course, there's a possibility that Adam and Kris may crack the Top 10 performances of this season with their performances on Tuesday night, but history is not on their side. It it does happen, I'd bet on Adam. His performances style is tailor-made for that big finale stage. Kris' mellow and folksy style? Not so much. But he's certainly capable with the right song.
With that said, here are the Top 10 Performances as gathered by WNTS, a site that gathers reactions from all over the internet, press media, and from the blogosphere.

Adam has the highest rated performance this season, and his duet with Allison ranks as the second highest; he makes three appearances.
Kris is the only contestant this season to make three appearances from solo performances.
Allison makes two appearances, one of which was her duet with Adam.
Matt and Anoop both crack the Top 10.
So it seems like maybe we did get the correct F2 this season. What do you think? Agree/Disagree?

If American Idol were an airline company, then this weekend you'd be landing on a sunny Caribbean island surrounded by crystal blue water, perfectly manicured beaches, and a staff of locals standing by to cater to your every whim. Ah, paradise! Mind you, along the way your plane would've been delayed on the jetway at takeoff for five hours...you'd have made two unscheduled stops for repairs...the airline would've lost your reservation, your luggage, and your spouse...all of the in-flight magazines, not to mention every square inch of the cabin, would've been filled with nothing but ads...you'd have ordered chicken and rice for dinner but the flight attendant would've served you liver and turnips and insisted it was what you really wanted...the cockpit crew would have come on the loudspeaker every five minutes arguing furiously with one another about which one best knew how to fly the plane...and, after a harrowing landing that could not, strictly speaking, be termed a crash because the plane finished right-side up, the airline's CEO would've greeted you at the gate to remind you how enjoyable the entire experience had been, and that you could purchase MP3s of your fellow passengers' terrified screams on iTunes the next day. Not to mention that your intended destination would've been Chicago all along.

So who will win on Tuesday? We're not entirely sure. Lambert has the showmanship, the vocal chops, the media buzz, the far more passionate fanbase...and, not incidentally, the higher average approval rating on the season (72.2 to 62.5.) Allen's fanbase isn't nearly as deep but our database says that it's wider (if there were a one-vote-per-person limit this week, he'd win), and he has the underdog story and the momentum on his side. Both men have produced plenty of memorable performances, and both are clever and imaginative, though that hardly helps when reprises and Original Winner's Songs |

I'm super excited. Why? Because Adam Lambert is awesome. Here's the story.
A couple weeks ago, I was online and saw people on a forum talking about sending a gift to Adam via a fanmail address. They were pitching in for some jewelry or something and weren't going to sign their names to it, so I was like hey.. I should send my own gift. I came up with a pretty cool idea to get a plush lamb and decorate it sort of in Adam's style [Lamb-ert, lol, you know it's cute].
So after a few days of working on it on and off, here's how it turned out:

I ironed on the t-shirt thingies
On Monday, May 11th I packaged the lamb in a silver bag with a card inside and I placed it into a box. Along with it inside the box, I put a large self-addressed stamped envelope with some 8x10 photos I printed and a brief (well I tried, lol) letter. When I was at the post office I hurried up and wrote down some Q & A because I remembered seeing other people do that with Danny Gokey and thought it would be cool.
I noticed by the tracking number that the package was received on Wednesday, May 13th because I used priority mail. That was fast! =]
So I go to the post office today, May 16th, and I had something from my mom, but also a little red key, which means I have a package that didn't fit in my PO box that was placed into a larger locker. OHSNAPS. What else could it be??
I ran to the locker and opened it, and what do I see? MY EFFING ENVELOPE I sent like what, 5 days ago? Squee.
For some reason there was just a little long sticker with lines at the bottom. The stamps I put on it didn't get stamped with the little squigglies so technically they can be used again, but yeah right I'm keeping this forevva.
It was sealed with scotch tape. Sorry, no Adam spit for me. Lmao.

You see a blurred name because I originally asked him to sign one of the photos to my friend, but he just signed them all to me. I'm not complaining =D
Also, again I wrote the questions at the last minute so they weren't well thought out... but I'm glad I asked the middle name one because everyone online was saying stuff like "Matthew".. and even "Anselm?" Wtf? Lol. So if you were wondering, it's Mitchel.
HOLYCRAP. How awesome is Adam to take the time to sign these for me and send them back?? I'm so happy. Thanks, Adam!! He's officially the sweetest man ever. Now I have no excuse not to vote my thumbs off next week. (I already did last week, and got 178 in).
I thought you guys would enjoy seeing/hearing about my experience! Remember to VOTE ADAM LAMBERT FOR YOUR NEXT AMERICAN IDOL!! =]
