Thousands of flights take to the sky daily after the accident and as we speak all over the world. Just fly Truly, don't worry.

Memang lah susah nak fight our irrational fear despite the statistics. One tip which could help is surround yourself with people who dont make a big deal out of this incidence and continue life as usual.

In my case, di tempat kerja ia lebih mudah because people are too busy flying to be bothered. The sooner we resume flying, the sooner we realise that the world actually hasn't changed. It works for me.

dulu aku mmg penakut naik flite, gegar sket je aku dah rasa takut. kemudian, bila aku duk jauh dari Mesia ni, selalu ulang balik naik flite, rasa takut tu makin kurang, makin relaks..

but now, lps kejadian byk ni...takut dulu tu dtg balik. cheh!

skrg kapal terbang dah tak selamat, mcm2 technical issue dan problem semua keluar selepas MH370.

Ramai yg kata dah takut nak fly lagi . Tapi sebenar nya tidak. Minggu lepas aku cek seat flight AA ke Tokyo hampir separuh kosong. Aku pun happy ingat boleh tidur baring . Tapi malam ni aku cek lagi flight to Tokyo 18 jan hampir semua seat penuh . Itu tanda tak ramai yg takut

hakak dpt dik thn lpas...alkisahnya hakak nk cancel trip ke syd...hari2 hakak doa gitu...lpas tu AA anta msg hr nk balik tu dorg change date...terus hakak email tny blh mintak full refund tak...dorg kata blh...so hakak sujud syukur sgt...dh dpt pun refund tu dikk..tp klu kita cancel sendiri mmg xdpt la dik...hakak ni redha jah dh book tix sblm QZ8501 tu...so tawakal je lah...mungkin hakak mkn pil tdo sblm take off...

hahahahhahaa lawak je akak.. mak i la xmo p KK takot katenye.. AA plak mcm tau2 je, die cancel i pnye tix & move to next flite.. Dpt la option utk refund.. hohoho

teknikal problem la tu. aku pun pernah matikan satu engine right in the middle of baya of bengal, pastu land kat chennai, nearest airport.
kalau tak matikan lagi teruk akibatnya.. boleh menyebabkan engine tu terbakar..
so matikan engine in flight tu mesti ada reason dia..

some 'leaks' in the lube (NOT FUEL) system - itu yang aku faham.

Omputih biasanya kalau sebut 'Oil' tu maksudnya lubricant. Kalau minyak katebang tu dorang panggil 'Fuel'.

Anyway, it affected only one engine. Actually, before take off, we had TWO problems. The other was quite minor I can't remember

I remember naik SIA - that was my first time naik kapal terbang.
Kapal terbang tu mengalami masalah teknikal - tapi dia tak mahu
transit sebab nak jimat kos. Lama berlegar-legar di udara dengan
oksijen yang kurang. Sepanjang masa I muntah, akhirnya dia
terpaksa juga transit. Sepanjang masa 3-4 jam transit tu, I muntah
dan terbaring atas kerusi di air port. Bila sampai ke destinasi, I
dah lembik and it took almost ONE WEEK barulah I stable, tak terasa
macam terapong-apong di udara dan muntah!!!!!
Sejak itu, I tak pernah naik SIA lagi, bukan takut mati, tapi tak
sanggup menghadapi perkhidmatannya yang nak jimat kos!!!!.......

sebab itu untuk commercial, diwajibkan at 2 engines.engine yang satu lagi tu mampu untuk produce enough thrust untuk plane tu fly safely walau pun at maximum weight certified for that particular plane.
sebelum plane tu dikeluarkan untuk pasaran, kena uji dulu.. dah certified baru boleh diguna untuk commercial.

with the help of automation, single engine flying after one failure tak lah berbeza sangat dengan terbag menggunakan 2 engine, cuma tak boleh terbang tinggi sepertia biasa sahaja.

As far as I know, kapal terbang tu berlegar-legar di udara.
Airkon not working & I susah nak bernapas, that's why I
assumed, mesti kurang oksigen.  I ni bukan teknikal person
so I tak pandai nak explain in technical term. I am just an ordinary
passanger.  Bukan I sorang je, ramai penumpang suffered the
same thing. Seminggu lamanya I masih pening-pening dan
terasa macam walking in air. It was the most memorable
experinace sebab tu I masih ingat trauma ni sampai sekarang.
