ouch another #2 fell to unranked team.
the curse of #2 lives on........
i wonder what will happen to dixon, he's talented yet if he's not playing anymore, he wont be selected for Heissman, worse yet, not make it to the pros. |

it seems like lloyd carr will retire from coaching the wolverines. this will definitely not a good news for LSU tigers as there's big possibility that michigan will ask its alumnus, les miles, to take over the storied program.

despite being ranked #1 in AP and BCS, missouri tigers will be an underdog in big 12 title game. as of today, #9 oklahoma sooners are favor by 3 points.

by beating arizona state sun devils, and oregon ducks lost to ucla bruins, usc trojans already have one leg in rose bowl. all they have to do is beat ucla in their last game of the season.
if missouri wins big 12 title, ohio state will head to pasadena. otherwise, usc will probably face illinois.

sooners beat them before. and i think sooners had tougher schedule. but i like missouri vwu match up in national championship and usc osu in rose bowl.
do you guys think playoff system is better than bowl series?
personally i like bowl series. it gives every team a chance to win something. in playoff system, if you lose, you are out, and bring home nothing. on one hand, playoff system will give team like LSU a chance to redeem their defeat.

sooners also favor because of their experience in big game, while this is missouri first title game in 30+ years. the polls have been crazy this season. i also want to see missouri against west virginia in championship game, not because i like the match up but rather i don't want to see ohio state or lsu gets another crack at it.
it will fun to watch new teams vying for national title, even though the game will probably earn very low rating.
as for playoff, i like the idea. at the same time, i don't want to see bowl games go away. so, may be they can work something out. playoff is better because at least each team has a chance to settle it on the field, instead of depending on voters to decide who wins/plays for the title. major conferences still have about 3 more years with bcs before they decide what to do next. eliminating bcs means each team playing for title game will lose 15 mil - don't think they want to do that.

one of the readers at yahoo sports column points out an idea of having bowl as part of playoff system. kinda like national championship should goes at final, rose, sugar at final four, and others at elite 8, sweet 16. but you're right. it's all about money. schools with traditional big football programs are more favored to bowl games for marketing purpose. |

wow! what a night for college football. bcs has been turned upside down with the loss of two top teams, missouri and west virginia. for now, looks like ohio state buckeyes will play georgia bulldogs in the title game. but, there's a possibility that lsu tigers will leap over the three teams ahead of them (georgia, kansas jayhawks and virginia tech hokies), and usc trojans still have outside shot (long shot though).
