Childcare centre gives joy to learning

KUALA LUMPUR: Pusat Anak Permata Negara (National Childcare Centre), an early childhood education and care centre, will be expanded nationwide by year-end.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the decision was made to realise the hope of state leaderships who were interested in the concept.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 (Bernama) -- "Pusat Anak Permata Negara", an early childhood education and care centre, will be expanded nationwide by yearend.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the decision was made to realise the hope of state leaderships who were very interested in the centre which emphasises on early education from babies up to six years' old.

"When we briefed the menteris besar on the project, they asked for the project to also be implemented in their states," he told reporters after launching a new Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) programme entitled "Setiap Anak Permata Negara", at Angkasapuri here Sunday.

Present were Najib's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, and Information Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin.

The pilot Pusat Anak Permata Negara project was implemented early this month at four selected locations, namely Subang Jaya, Kepala Batas, Putrajaya and Felda Mempaga in Pahang.

Najib said Pusat Anak Permata Negara was open to all races with the focus on the low income group, especially in rural areas.

He hoped parents would participate and contribute to the excellence of the centre which provides education for free.

Earlier, during an interview in the programme, Najib said the project's implementation was important as a foundation in human capital development and a thrust for producing a society with first class mind.

Among the project's main objectives were to enhance the people's inner strength through early education and to build their potentials through the development of talent, mind and creativity at the early stage.

Najib said Pusat Anak Permata Negara which was mooted by a group of women professionals led by Rosmah, did not emphasise on formal education but it was based on learning which gave joy to the children.

Pusat Anak Permata Negara is special in that it allows children to express their creativity, mould their personality, promote their interest, stimulate their mind, build their social skills and at the same time, they will have fun in learning.

Meanwhile, the Setiap Anak Permata Negara television programme, produced in collaboration with Yayasan Harapan Kanak-Kanak Malaysia (YHKM), was aimed at supporting the implementation of the Permata Negara project under the Permata Negara Council of the Prime Minister's Department.

The idea to produce the programme came from Rosmah who is the patron of YHKM, as an effort to deal with social problems in the country for the long term.

The one-hour programme, aired live by RTM1 today, will be shown at 11am every Sunday for 14 weeks.

ttg program tv tu,kan tulis dlm paper pukul 11kan?
i pun dok tunggu sampai 11.30 cuma ada rancangan kesedaran sivik
boring tunggu i pon tukarla channel lain
tgk2 dia start pukul 12-1 pm
time i sedar tu,lagi sepuloh minit nak abis.
yang pasti hari ahad airut,rancangannya berbentuk forum.
