you are a mechanical engineer??

or interested or have questions in mechanical engineering?

join this board....

nice to know ya....

what is mechanical engineering?
Mechanical engineering is an engineering discipline that involves the application of principles of physics for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It requires a solid understanding of key concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics and energy. Practitioners of mechanical engineering, known as mechanical engineers, use these principles and others in the design and analysis of automobiles, aircraft, heating & cooling systems, manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, and more.

which area mechanical engineering revolves around?
*statics & dynamics
*strength of materials & solid mechanics,
*instrumentation and measurement,
*thermodynamics, heat transfer, energy conversion, and refrigeration / air conditioning,
*fluid mechanics/fluid dynamics,
*mechanism design (including kinematics and dynamics),
*manufacturing technology or processes,
*hydraulics & pneumatics,
*engineering design,
*mechatronics and/or control theory,
*drafting, CAD (usually including Solid modeling), and CAM.

This is new mechanical engineering field. In design stage, known as Affective Engineering

No matter you are mechanical engineer or not,
please feel free to ask anything regarding mechanical engineering or physics....

in professional and logical manner

If I know I will try to answer you; if not I will seek reference and need some time.. if still cant, then other senior mechanical engineer might be able to answer you

Kalau tak silap, orang Maya yang terawal sekali jumpe bulatan saiz 360 darjah kan.

Bagus soalan....

S;r;a; apa apa huruf pun tak apa.. maksud dia paling penting..

tapi hubungan dia masih sama....

dah berbelas tahun aku cuba carik perfect number for bulatan (since aku skolah rendah). tapi still x jumpa.

kalau dpt perfect number tu, 3d graphics x yah pakai phi - so dpt eliminate infinite floating point(fp) - so calculation without fp will be millions times faster (if calculation being done for millions of triangles)

infinite floating point(fp) ??

Ko computer programmer ker??

cerita apa fp??

floating point tu string of numbers. kalau eg dlm c: 0.0, 2423.0, 0.2342342

so kalau buat rotation kat object, pakai phi. math operation akan ada banyak decimal places - accuracy. computer punya weakness kat fp.

hehe... aku blasah jer. sbb tu yg aku paham.. programming pun blaja sendiri jer...

OOooo.............

Pi pun bahagi tak habis..... sebab tu la jam........

pernah kat lab pc, aku tekan salah, C++

No, I wish I AM Data. Emotionless, highly rational and fast (yet still charming ).

Work is kinda hard today though. It ain't school no more. You've got to figure out stuff yourself or bother someone with has lots of work to do. Good thing is after 5pm it's over. Unlike in college when it ain't over till it's too late to sleep.

I work and live in San Bernardino area now. Like 40 miles east of LA. All alone.

I'd say that most of our equations in engineering we use radian. But we still use degree in engineering though. For example, the engineering drawings that I've used mostly shows angles in deg, not radian.

But yes, 360deg for one full rotation is just an arbitrary selection. Just like 0 degC for freezing temperature of water. Why not 0 be the freezing temprature of something else right? It's just what some people decided it to be,  in my opinion.

Get a white chicks then. Dont spend too much time moderating this forum

Cad?
Autocad mechanical. with the standard mechanical components prespecified.
Also this ideals.

You are absolutely right. Like meridian greenwich. who said it must be in UK? No body. not even god. the british set it so the whole world would follow their standard
