IMHO I beg to disagree with your interpretation. I like to offer a solution to this pressing question. Over a cup of black Nescaffe in the office I was terrified by your posting. Literal meaning in English is ' humanitarian' from the root word humanity. It has a universial meaning which manifest itself as love for fellow being be it human or animal.
