if we refer back to Hui Yee's case, she first rejected the the heart(from a muslim teenager), but later accepted the one from the chinese - despite the fact that the former is in better condition compares to the latter. other than the possibilities that had been explained scientificcally, cud different in "believes" be part of the reason. I think the doctors should look back at historical cases involving the transplant - esp. heart -  involving donors between muslims and non-muslims and test the hypothesis of:" muslim organs are just for the muslims, and vice-versa." if this hypothesis is proven to be true, than in future, we cud avoid another "hui yee's" case, who had to undergo 2 operations within a 24 hour period.  What u think people? ..... Ok so the first transpant is rejected...so what.. that happens even when a kin is the donor. I'm no MD but organ rejection is caused by your immune system's response. Your immune system would not care less if the organ is muslim, hindu , atheist or devil worshipper. It's just a hunk of meat and blood. The difference between a muslim and a non muslim resides not in our blood but in the minds of small minded people like you.  Happy ramadan!

organ dalaman manusia ni buleh pilih memilih ker?....... kalu darah dikategorikan melalui kumpulan masing2, bagaimana pula organ2 ini dapat dikategorikan?..... jika dilihat kepada keadaan dimana org2 membeli buah pinggang dari negara2 ketiga spt india atau mana2 negara lain. bagaimana pula organ tersebut dapat diterima?...... adakah kerena penderma tersebut mempunyai agama anutan yg sama atau bangsa yang sama?......

isu ini sangat bagus. tolong doktor jelaskan, mustahil pula organ mesti ikut anutan penerimanya. suami kawan saya terima kornea dari india, suitable saja

Betul tu..nothing to do dgn race or religion. Abang aku MD,dia adalah explained. Something to do dgn antibodies, ie immune system. Lagi satu, bukan ke jantung yang di transplant sekarang (2nd one) from a Malay teenager?

What about the Malay boy that got his heart from a Chinese?  

Please look beyond religion of the recipient and the donor.  Its a medical emergency.  Death or prolong life - which would you choose?
