Synopsis
The 8 Show (Korean: 더 에이트 쇼) is an upcoming South Korean thriller dark comedy television series about 8 people in need of money are invited to appear on the reality-variety show Money Game. The 8 people are to stay at the studio that consists of nothing but concrete walls. If they are able to hang in there for 100 days, they can divide the winning prize of 44.8 billion won equally. But, everything they spend on, including necessities like food, water, and electricity, costs 1,000 times more than normal prices and is deducted from the winning prize.

Notes

• Based on Bae Jin-Soo’s webcomics "Money Game" (published from November 23, 2018 to January 10, 2020 via Naver) and "Pi Game" (published from July 5, 2020 to November 7, 2021 via Naver).
• IU was first cast to play lead female role, but, prior to filming, had to drop out due to scheduling issues. Chun Woo-Hee was then cast to play the lead female role.
• Filming beings mid-June, 2022.

Recommended kalau suka tengok series macam Squid Game... tapi citer ni tak sama macam Squid Game... totally different... yang sama hadiahnya duit... tapi hadiah duit tu berbeza ikut level... dalam citer ni cuma ada 8 participants... diorang sendiri kena figure out nak buat game/show apa plus macam mana nak tambah masa... sebab lagi lama stay situ lagi banyak dapat hadiah duit...

Baru tgk sampai episod 4…memang bestlah so far…mcm squid game tapi lain…citer ni reflect social hierarchy in the real world…yg kelas atas (level 8) dpt all the privileges tanpa perlu bersusah-payah buat kerja tapi yg level bawah walau kerja kuat camna pun jgnkan nak jadi kaya, nak kumpul duit cukup utk bayar hutang pun payah…

Tapi memang terganggu bila diorg sebut pasal tahi & kena penalti sampai terkencing2..dahlah tgk sambil makan…

Walaupun watak level 8 asalnya ditawarkan kat IU, tak boleh imagine kalau dia yg jadi level 8 sebab kena berlakon daring sikit…

Tiap watak ada kejutan…cuma level 3 (Ryu Jun Yeol) je yg consistent yg stick to morality dari awal sampai akhir…wait, actually level 6 (Park Hae Joon) pun consistent, jerk throughout the series…level 2 is a scene stealer, pelakon baru ke sbb tak pernah nmpk? Good to see Bae Seong Woo back.

Tunggu sampai ujung lepas end credit kalau nak tau siapa di sebalik the game show…there’s a plot twist there…
