Zahid's daughter Nurul Hidayah appointed to UPM's board of directors

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Nurul Hidayah, the daughter of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, has been appointed to the board of directors of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
According to a letter sighted by The Star, it stated that, "We are pleased to appoint Datuk as a member of the Board of Directors of UPM, representing a composition of knowledgeable and experienced individuals in accordance with Section 18(1) of UPM's Constitution, for a period of three years effective from January 2, 2025, to January 1, 2028,"
The letter dated Jan 2, 2025, also extended congratulations to Nurul Hidayah for the appointment and hoped that the appointment will bring UPM to a greater academic level.
"We are confident that Datuk is capable of contributing and leading UPM towards achieving greater academic and organizational progress, in line with the government's goal of making Malaysia a center of regional and international educational excellence."
The letter was signed by Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir.
