THIS artist doesn't just paint her subjects — she paints on them.
At first glance these photos look to be of a watercolour portrait — but they are actually snaps of a real person painted to look like a picture. Alexa Meade, from Washington DC, creates her stunning artworks by drawing directly on to her models. Her props and surroundings are also covered with paint to make them look like part of the image — and to create an amazing 3D illusion.
The 24-year-old said: "Experiences cannot always be interpreted at face value, seeing is not necessarily believing."
