WINTER the dolphin shows off her £100,000 artificial tail — which has made her a film star.
The Atlantic bottlenose features alongside Hollywood A-lister Morgan Freeman in the new movie based on her life story.
Five-year-old Winter lost her own tail at two-months-old when it got tangled in a crab trap.

She could not swim and faced death until rescued by Florida's Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Scientists there got in touch with prosthetic limb expert Kevin Carroll, who managed to craft the 2.5ft silicon tail. And a gel he invented to soothe Winter's skin where it meets the fake tail was so successful it is now used on HUMAN amputees. In Dolphin Tale, which is out today, Freeman, 74, plays a boffin based on Kevin. The family movie also stars Ashley Judd and Harry Connick Jr. Director Charles Martin Smith said: "Winter loves being filmed. When we were filming scenes she wasn't in she would come over to the edge of the pool and make such a racket. "She felt like she was being ignored."
