Teen Wolf Howls for a Third Season on beTV in Same-Week-as-the US Debut
KualaLumpur, 28 May 2013– It’sthe full moon on TV once again as the hit supernatural action-romancedrama series, TeenWolf,returns to beTV for a third season with more drama and bite from agreater pack of the sexy, furry kind. beTV will once again bring tofans across Asia the TeenWolf Season 3action early – after just four days of its debut in the US!
Premieringon 7 June and airing on Fridays at 9:20pm in a same-week-as-the UStelecast, first and exclusively on beTV, TeenWolf Season 3is the returning sexy and grippingdrama led by 21year old American actor Tyler Posey (LincolnHeights, White Frog)as Scott McCall, anawkward boy-next-door-turned-werewolf. Set against the backdrop ofcontemporary teen life, the series is an action-packed forbidden lovestory at its heart. Fans of TeenWolf willenjoy double the dose of action as season 3 is ‘super-sized’ to atotal of 24 episodes, which is twice that of previous 12part-seasons.
Teen WolfSeason 3 is set to pick up four months after the dramatic events oflast season that almost killed Jackson (Colton Haynes, Arrow)who is a ‘Kanima’, a murderous reptilian mutation of a werewolf;and the tearful break-up of the star-crossed lovers – protagonistwerewolf Scott McCall and schoolmate Allison Argent (Crystal Reed,Skyline,Crazy, Stupid, Love),who struggled to reconcile their relationship with her being a memberof a family of werewolf hunters.
Scott and his friends StilesStilinski (Dylan O’Brien, TheFirst Time, High Road),Allison, and Lydia Martin (Holland Roden, BringIt On: Fight to the Finish, House of Dust)will begin their year of high school unaware that a new threat hasarrived in Beacon Hills: a deadly pack of Alpha werewolves bent onbringing Derek (Tyler Hoechlin, Roadto Perdition, 7thHeaven, Hall Pass)into their fold.
The invading Alpha pack isheaded by leader Deucalion portrayed by UK theatre and voice-actingveteran Gideon Emery (LastResort),with twin werewolves Ethan and Aiden, played by twins Charlie and MaxCarver (both were on DesperateHousewives);Kali, an Alpha werewolf portrayed by Felisha Terrell (Daysof Our Lives);and Cora, a tough 17-year-old, who has ties to the Beacon Hillswerewolf line, played by Australian actress Adelaide Kane (Secretsof the Mountain).
Isaac Lehay, whose roleis British actor Daniel Sharman (TheImmortals)as Jackson’s neighbor with a past of being abused by his father andwas turned into a werewolf by Derek, is being elevated to a member ofthe regular cast. He is set for a ‘big part’ in the new season,coming in between the friendship of buddies Scott and Stiles,revealed Teen Wolf creator and show-runner, Jeff Davis.
A firm fan-favourite, DylanO’Brien is not only returning as the goofy Stiles, but will alsoput his creativity behind cameras to the test with a scene he wrotewith Jeff Davis. “Tonight, after [Dylan O’Brien] wrapped hisacting work for the day, we actually sat down and wrote a scenetogether. We'll see if fans can guess which one as it will show up inepisode [six of the new season]," teased Davis.
Teen Wolf Season 3 promises tobe the most ‘lethal season’ yet, with Davis revealing that thefirst 12 episodes are set to rack up a higher body count than bothprevious seasons combined. Fans will also uncover the mystery as towhy some werewolves have blue eyes while others do not.
Teen Wolfwas renewed last July for a third season following a highlysuccessful second season that saw the show become the top rated cableTV series among 12 – 34 year old audiences in the US. The seriesalso shifted its production from Atlanta to its new home in LosAngeles, following the approval of California’s tax credit for theproduction, and to be nearer to the homes of its cast and crewmembers.
The stage is set for thereturn of the canines of the shape-shifting variety as the rivetingand sexy TeenWolf Season 3takes over Friday TV nights, telecast within the same week of the USpremiere only on beTV!
