Seagate 1tb not function, need help!!

Last few days, I drop my accidentally drop my external hard disk seagate 1TB, then when I try to pulg in to my PC ti dosen't work and when I try to plug in to my laptop, still it produce the same result. I even bought and try other cable too, but still a failure. I try to fine the solution in Google search but the result seem disappoint me. If anybody or anyone have the same problem but aready solve this problem or have the link that helps, please do kindly share your experince and if there any alternative to my external hard disk.

i used to have Transcend, 250GiB external. there was a time when it not responding, just the "tick tick" sound. fail.

After several month, try again, and its okay until today. thank god.

still under warranty? maybe u can try to RMA it. but i think they will know what caused the defect.
and remember that your data are gone too.

if the warranty long gone, u can try to open the ext hdd case, take out the HDD and connect the HDD via sata in PC

Nope, no warranty. Ok I'll try it out, but what is the percentage of taking out the HDD and connect the HDD via sata in PC?
Is it 50/50 of working or less or more hope for it to works?

so no wrranty?
it is possible that the HDD is OK but oly the chip at ext casing were faulty.
since there is no warranty left, just proceed.... if the disk OK, then u can buy new ext casing for it...
btw, wat model is ur hdd?

still finding my way to open the casing, it's not easy as it look. Any advice for me to open the casing?

Yup!, there no skrew around the casing, I'm still figuring how to open the casing..

I did try already and I bought new casing, it hard to open but i manange not destroyed it. But when I do that and try on my pc, the bubble pop up saying " Installion Fail".. the light blink but fails.. any suggestion what next I should do?

try connect directly the HDD to internal PC using SATA also cant detect?
