Mumbai, July 24 (ANI): Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Srirang Naadgoda said here on Thursday that a woman who was allegedly gang raped inside a moving car in Mumbai on July 22 has today lodged an FIR against the culprits. The incident happened on July 22 at around 10:15 in the night when she was waiting for a rickshaw at the Kemkar junction of Mumbai. The police has filed an FIR under section 379 D of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). "The woman had come to Bandra linking road for shopping. From there she had boarded a rickshaw at around 10 pm and came to Kemkar junction near Dharavi . But when she realised that she had come to the wrong place she got down of the rickshaw and waited across the road for another rickshaw for the Bandra railway station. It was around 10.15 in the night when four men came in a white colored Innova car and offered her a lift which she accepted as she knew two out of the four men. But as the car moved, the ones whom she knew sexually assaulted her and after sometime they dropped her at Dharavi link road alongside Bandra," said Naadgoda. "We have filed the complaint; so far no arrest has been made but the two men whose name she has mentioned have been brought to the police station. We are doing further enquiry and gathering evidence; after that we will arrest them. The medical examination of the victim has also been done and we can say about the other two only after collecting the evidence," he added. (ANI)
