Bus Stations In City Packed With People Returning From Home TownsKUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 (Bernama) -- Bus stations in the city are once again congested with people returning home from celebrating Aidilfitri in their home towns.

A survey by Bernama at Pudu Sentral found that most people would only start work on Monday but returned earlier to avoid traffic jam.

Advertising company employee Mohamad Syahmi Ismail, 26, said he chose to come back today so that he could get some rest before work begins on Monday.

"Each year I take the express bus from Pudu Sentral to Johor and choose to go back early because I fear the tickets will be sold out and I'll have to endure congestion on the road," he said.

Private university student Hazfizi Ahmad Shuib, 24, said he also chose to come back early so he can rest before resuming work on Wednesday. Hazfizi Ahmad said because classes have not begun, he decided to work part-time.

"I took the express bus and stopped at Pudu Sentral to avoid traffic jam.

"It is also cost effective and I can rest throughout the long journey," he said.

Pudu Sentral was also packed with people who will be going back to their home towns after having to work over the holidays.
