HP SERVER POWER BUTTON BECOME AMBER

Salam & hi,


Saya newbie dlm dunia server ni.
Kat kampeni tmpt sy kerja ade satu server HP , selalunya power button tu warna hijau tapi suddenly mase cuti CNY haritu, server room jadi panas(aircond tbe2 mati) then power button utk server jadi kaler amber(oren).
Sy cuba long press power button tu lame2..still xjadi apa.Bad new is our company only have one server, and all apps including pay roll inside there(dahla nk dkat gaji ni huhu)!


Then saya ade unplug semua cable(ade dua cable, satu pergi ke switch, satu lg pergi ke main power panel utk server, fan rack, unifi etc) kat KOSS CENTRON 1000VA, then plug ke extension.Pastu hanya unifi, fan rack, etc yg berfungsi.Server still xmau on/off, and masih dgn amber led light tu...


Anyone pernah facing bende mcm ni x? Help me phishh sementara waiting for HP support yg nak dtg within 3 working days after lodge case.

amber light tu makna kata system standby.. server x purely off.. dia akn down ke standby je..

x ingat ah cemana.. da lama x jumpa seber...

mayb leh cuba check documentation cemana nk power down server n any diagnostic led..

kalo x.. hav to wait for them la..

Thanks for respond.
Problem solved. 2 parts faulty-power supply and motherboard.

Lpas tuka 2 parts ni server workin as normal, SYUKUR ALHAMDULILLAH

Install the HP System Management software if possible. That will help identify to the root cause.

Also, check the server event logs as there may be some information in there - bad disk, bad RAID controller, bad memory, etc.

The software is included with servers when shipped and can also be downloaded. You may need a valid warranty agreement to download as HP has recently changed their rules around server firmware/downloads.
