Prophet (PBUH) told his companions a story a man who found a dog in the desert panting and licking the dust due to thirst. The man went to a well, filled his leather sandal with water and relieved the dog thirst. For this kind act Allah forgave all his sins. It is permissible to keep hunting dogs and watch dogs but keeping dogs as house pets us disapproved (because dogs have transmittable disease (pls read article by Dr. Charles Bancroft))

Therefore, the only time that you have to wash is either that the dog licks you, or is wet and touches you, or that your hand is wet and you pet him.As to the method of cleaning the saliva of a dog, a person has to remove it by washing the area seven times with water, one of which has to be with dirt (sand, soil).
There is nothing in Islamic Law that says that a Muslim cannot touch a pig or a dog.

Scientists say pig organs make excellent replacement organs for humans because they' re similar to human anatomy and there' s virtually an unlimited supply... more

theres no sin in doing that. u only need to cleanse it if any sides that is in contact is wet. |
