Aww..not a fan of his but he sure is cute isn't he. Did you manage to get his autograph or exchange flying kisses (macam Adam & Pauler)?
I dream the day when Adam rocks out for his M'sian fans, in all his flamboyant glory, no holds barred. Bring on the crazy tranny sugar!
I'll damn make sure that i'll be seated at the frontest (is there such word?) of seats to witness the greatness that is Adam. |

American Idol: Jen Dishes The Scoop on Idol
Songs from the year American Idol contestants were born meant LOTS of 80s synth and funk (basically making it "Songs a DJ Might Play at a Wedding" night)! Anyway, I loved when Simon called out Paula's new found (and OBVIOUSLY coached) command of musical vocab words e.g. "chord substitutions". And as a sidebar: THANK GOD I'M A FRINGE FAN, because a) the performances ran long and my DVR would have totally missed Adam's performance if I hadn't been taping the Fringe episode that aired right after AI and b) they showed "The Observer" in the AI audience - HA-larious cross promotion!!!
However, one thing I did not enjoy this week was the results show. BLUUUGH. This week was completely random - especially compared to the carefully curated Grand Ole Opry and Motown weeks. Frankie Avalon, Flo Rida and Kelly Pickler TOGETHER?!?!?! It sounds like an intern's attempt at programming a cross-genre New Year's Rockin' Eve line up! Also, the decision to have a group consisting of mostly dudes singing Kylie Minogue was...wow (except for Adam - because, hello). Lil's interpretive dance moves didn't help up top either. And as a group, it was definitely THE most awkward dancing that has ever happened on the Idol stage. It looked like an HR department-choreographed office party skit. And let's not talk about the good-in-theory magic show music video directed by mini-Tim Burton (aka TOTAL Britney Spears bite off).
The biggest surprise of all this week is that I am REALLY starting to like Adam Lambert!!! Two weeks in a row he closed the show out, and two weeks in a row he has been my favorite. Some TV Grapevine readers might remember how much I REALLY - almost viciously and probably undeservingly - hated his ass in the beginning. We can't pretend "Ring of Fire" didn't happen, but even elicited a standing ovation from Simon! Plus, I gotta give so much damn credit to a dude who gets up on what is essentially THE most mainstream stage in America, and sings the Donnie Darko version of "Mad World". Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! OK, so here are some more highlights of the week:
Top 3 Performances:
3. Danny Gokey
2. Matt Giraud
1. Adam Lambert
Top 3 Fashion Statements:
3. Lil's amazing jewel-encrusted shoes. Amazing!!! But unfortunately, they outshone her performance....
2. Matt's angel choir outfit from back in the day. "As I was saying...!"
1. Frankie Avalon's mini mullet. Has there ever been such a classy party in the back!?!
Idol at the Movies:
So next week, our finalists will be doing a movie theme. I rather like this theme because it's pretty wide open (though not as ridiculously open as iTunes week), and QUENTIN TARANTINO is going to be the mentor! What he'll have to offer in terms of giving performance advice, I have NO idea, but this dude has put together some of the most iconic soundtracks ever (i.e. Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, etc.)! PLUS, he is a total character, and I can't wait for him to interact with the contestants. The performers next week will be Jennifer Hudson and Miley Cyrus - VERY appropriate in keeping with the movie theme. I look forward to it!
In terms of song choice, I am praying that Lil pleasepleaseplease does not make the mistake of doing another "copycat" performance. All I can think about was a couple years ago, when LaKisha Jones sealed her fate by singing "Diamonds Are Forever". PLEASE don't choose something from a James Bond movie, Lil!!! And ESPECIALLY not "Goldeneye", after the Tina Turner fiasco. And also, no Celine Dion songs. PLEEEEASE, I beg of you!
Also, I hope that no one will venture the Dream Girls route, unless it's Norman Gentle and Jennifer Hudson doing a duet ;) But jokes aside, I think that the cream is really rising to the top as we get closer to the end. So who else is in danger? Other than Lil, I think that Anoop MIIIIGHT be able to save himself from being in the bottom again if he pulls out a great performance. However, I get the feeling he may have already exhausted every trick he had up his sleeve.
And finally, two other singers who might be in trouble on American Idol because of opposite problems are Allison and Kris. Allison Iraheta is a GREAT singer who does not have a high likeability factor, and Kris Allen is a BEYOND mediocre singer whose likeability has allowed him to hang on by the skin of his teeth. Quite the conundrums, and very much part of the reason why we tune in to see how it plays out, week after week!

Dah nak abih dah AI masih ramai lagi yg dok tertanya2 if Mr.Lambert is gay. Oh my, look at the search hits for these keywords. Was i the only one who googled for " Is Adam Lambert bi?" "Does he swing both ways or 360 degrees"? "Does Adam bang chicks?". I'd like to see those statistics please.
