Naik's views and statements on terrorism have at times been criticised in the media. Speaking of Osama bin Laden, Naik stated in a YouTube video that he would not criticise bin Laden because he had not met him and did not know him personally. He added that, "If bin Laden is fighting enemies of Islam, I am for him," and that "if he is terrorizing America – the terrorist, biggest terrorist – I am with him. Every Muslim should be a terrorist. The thing is that if he is terrorizing the terrorist, he is following Islam. Whether he is or not, I don't know, but you as Muslims know that, without checking up, laying allegations is also wrong."[56] When Time hinted that this remark could have inspired Najibullah Zazi's terrorist activities, Naik insisted: "I have always condemned terrorism because, according to the glorious Koran, if you kill one innocent person, then you have killed the whole of humanity".[56]
In 2010, Naik said that he had been quoted out of context regarding the remarks on terrorism. "As far as terrorist is concerned", he said, "I tell the Muslims that every Muslim should be a terrorist.... What is the meaning of the word terrorist? Terrorist by definition means a person who terrorises. So in this context every Muslim should be a terrorist to each and every anti-social element. I'm aware that terrorist is more commonly used for a person who terrorises innocent human beings. So in this context no Muslim should ever terrorise a single innocent human being."[57]
In a lecture delivered on 31 July 2008 on Peace TV, Naik commented on the attacks of 11 September: "it is a blatant, open secret that this attack on the Twin Towers was done by George Bush himself".[58]
He has also attracted much publicity for declaring that "even a fool will know" that the 9/11 attacks were "an inside job" orchestrated by US President George W. Bush.[6][9][13][59][60][61] Naik has won several awards for his preaching, including the 2015 King Faisal International Prize for Service to Islam,[62] but his expressed opinions on 9/11 have been denounced by the United States[63] and he has been denied entry into the United Kingdom and Canada for speaking engagements.[38][39]

He insists he has never uttered a blasphemous word. But a large number of Muslims across the country, both Shia and Sunni, say he has, and want Dr Zakir Naik expelled from the community.
Dr Naik, 43, a Mumbai-based practising doctor and president of the Islamic Research Foundation, has been a controversial figure for Muslim theologians for long. But he shot into prominence only recently when, at the urging of local ulema, the Uttar Pradesh government on October 30, barred him from addressing meetings in Allahabad, Kanpur and Lucknow. Since then arguments, both against him and in his favour, have been raging in the Urdu press.
“I do not consider him a Muslim,” said Maulana Hashim Kachauchwi, a respected Sunni scholar in Lucknow, on Saturday.
“The campaign against Dr Naik is politically motivated,” declared Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahli, the Naib Imam of Lucknow’s Idgah.
What exactly has Dr Naik said that has riled some Muslims so much? For one, he is accused of openly praising Osama bin Laden in his speeches.
“The Quran says it is important to crosscheck all information,” Dr Naik countered. “I would say the person who destroyed the Twin Towers in New York was a terrorist. But did Osama? I don’t know. I don’t know if he is good or bad.”
“He has repeatedly said that Muslims should not in their prayers seek favours from the Prophet, but only from Allah himself,” said a Lucknow scholar who did not want to be named. “He has claimed that the Prophet died centuries ago, and no dead man can bestow favours. This is blasphemous for both Shias and Sunnis who maintain that the very utterance of the La Ilaha expression in the present tense (‘There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his Prophet’) implies that the Prophet can never die.”
“I don’t know why I’m being singled out,” Dr Naik told HT. “Hundreds of scholars across the world have said the same things I have.”
For Muslims the most controversial of Dr Naik’s statements, however, relate to Yazid, the quintessential villain in Muslim theology, whose army was responsible for the killing of Husain, the Prophet’s grandson, in the battle of Karbala in 680 AD. At a conference in December 2007 in Mumbai he used the expression Radiallah tala anho (May Allah be pleased with him) while referring to Yazid, which outraged his audience.
“The Prophet has said, ‘If you praise someone who does not deserve praise, no matter; but if you curse someone who should not be cursed, the curse comes back to you’,” responded Dr Naik. “Thus I preferred not to curse anyone, not even Yazid.”
Muslims scholars though note that his approach comes close to that of the Wahabi sect.

KUALA LUMPUR 11 April - Polis akan memanggil penganjur forum ‘Similarities Between Hinduism and Islam’, Dr. Zakir Naik hari ini bagi merakam keterangan berkaitan program yang bakal diadakan pada 17 April ini.
Program yang dijadualkan di Dewan Besar Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), Melaka itu dikhuatiri boleh mengganggu gugat ketenteraman awam kerana berunsur sensiviti keagamaan.

Sehubungan itu, Ketua Polis Negara, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar menggesa supaya penganjur membatalkan program berkenaan.

Beliau berkata demikian selepas Majlis Pemakaian Lencana Pangkat Pegawai Kanan Polis di Mes Pegawai Kanan, Bukit Aman di sini hari ini.

Dalam pada itu, beliau menerusi laman Twitternya memberitahu, Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) tidak membenarkan forum tersebut diteruskan demi ketenteraman awam dan sensiviti agama di Malaysia. - UTUSAN ONLINE

Yusof Este pun dah ramai reverted orang ke Islam..cari ceramah2nya..memang gerun para Kristian nih..
Jadi janganlah kita berbangga dilahirkan dalam Islam...tapi bersyukurlah..kerna sesungguhnya..mereka yg reverted ke Islam ni..kdg2 lebih Islam dari kita yg sedia lahir dalam keluarga Islam.......jgn difikirkan mula bagaimana..tp pengakhiranya itu bagaimana?....

Dia tak kritik agama lain . Tetapi terkadang bila sesuatu perkara tu benar memang susah sesetengah pihak nak terimanya . Agama Islam agama syumul , ia adalah agama Allah . Kalau nak bandingkan dengan agama ciptaan manusia . Mana selayaknya ? |

Ceramah beliau byk kat YouTube..dgr dan fahami apa yg beliau sampai kan. Paling kelakar bila ada yg bagi komen tapi tak pernah kenal dan tak ambil tahu siapa dia alih2 terus boikot sama. Aku dah semangat nak gi UTEM tengok ceramah DZN 17hb ni. Tetiba kena batal mmg badigol betul la!!!! |
