Lee Byung Heon and Lee Min Jung Deny November Wedding Rumors
lee23j soompi.com
Lee Byung Heon and Lee Min Jung‘s wedding rumor surfaced but both parties denied the rumor.
Recently, a rather detailed rumor about Lee Byung Heon and Lee Min Jung’s November wedding and the soon-to-be newlyweds preparation processes spread out. Since Lee Byung Heon and Lee Min Jung’s alleged relationship was reported back in April, the news about the two superstar’s wedding spread like wildfire among SNS users.
However, Lee Byung Heon’s agency quickly denied the rumor. They announced, “This is not true at all. Lee Byung Heon is busy in November, filming ‘Red 2.’ How could he be preparing for a wedding and when he is so busy with filming schedules?” Lee Min Jung and her representative also released a quick response to the wedding rumor. Lee Min Jung’s representative said, “She stopped by a Hanbok store for filming of ‘Big.’ There was a scene where she wears Hanbok in her imagination. She is not getting married.”
In April, a entertainment news article revealed that Lee Byung Heon and Lee Min Jung are reported to be a couple and Lee Min Jung had been invited to Lee Byung Heon’s house to be introduced to his family. Both parties denied such allegations immediately and stated that they only know each other as colleagues and are not a couple.

Lee Byung Hun is always first at the meal truck?
By Korea Star Daily | Kpop Fighting
Korean actor Lee Byung Hun has revealed his unusual love for food.
The production press conference for upcoming movie ‘Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King’ was held on August 13th at CGV Apgujeong where Lee Byung Hun revealed that he is always unable to suppress his hunger and would be the first to rush to the meal truck when it comes to lunch time despite being in costume and having to usher his long beard along.
When asked by the MC what he would like to do the most when he becomes king, Lee Byung Hun answered, “I want to immediately eat the royal cuisine.” He continued, “It would be quite a while before it’s your turn at the meal truck, so I always try my best to be the first one. Eating is the most blissful thing in life. Because I have a huge beard on me, it is kind of difficult when it comes to eating. For example, some of my beard might fall onto my rice and there are times when some of the hair gets into my mouth while eating. But even so, I still like meal times the best.”
Fellow cast member, Ryu Seung Ryong also said that he has the same love as Lee Byung Hun and has lots of love for the meal truck.
He jokingly said, “At other filming sites, I would always be first in line at the meal truck. But for ‘Gwanghae: The Man Who Becomes King’ movie, my first spot is taken by Lee Byung Hun. He is really quick and always comes in front of me.”
The movie ‘Gwanghae: The Man Who Becomes King’ is a story that happens during the 8th year of King Gwanghae’s reign. With much court conflict and turmoil, the real King Gwanghae is poisoned and taken ill and he is replaced by a commoner named Ha Sun who looks exactly like him. As Gwanghae recuperates, Ha Sun takes over the king’s duties and rules the nation wisely. But the real conflict comes as interest clash and the fake king’s identity gets questioned.
Lee Byung Hun will be playing two roles, King Gwanghae and the commoner Ha Sun. This will also mark Lee Byung Hun’s first time acting in a period movie. Besides Lee Byung Hun, the movie also stars Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo, Kim In Kwon, Shim Eun Kyung and many more.
‘Gwanghae: The Man Who Becomes King’ will air in cinemas nationwide in September, just in time for the Chuseok holidays.

Hanbok not for wedding: Lee Min-jung
By Carla Sunwoo Korea JoongAng Daily
When a local business in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, claimed that actress Lee Min-jung had tailored a hanbok with them, the media went wild with speculation that the actress was preparing to walk down the aisle with Hallyu star Lee Byung-hun.
Although the two entertainers claimed that they weren’t even dating, rumors spread far and wide, with November reported to be the big month for the two actors.
But the star’s agency has come out dismissing the rumors.
“It’s absolutely untrue. Lee Byung-hun will be busy traveling around the world to film ‘Red 2’ in November,” said the star’s agency. “How could he possibly even fit in a wedding during filming?”
The spokesperson for 30-year-old Lee Min-jung also added that Lee’s visit to the hanbok shop was for the drama “Big,” in which she starred from June to July.
“The business obviously saw marketing opportunities from her visit,” the agency said.
The agencies have said the celebrities are just friends. |

Lee Byung-hun Showcases Comic Side in Gwang-hae, A Man Who Became King
KBS Global
Actor Lee Byung-hun promised fans and the media, “you’ll see a new comedic side of me”, during the press meeting for his new movie Gwang-hae, A Man Who Became King held on August 13th. In the upcoming film, Lee has two roles, one as the tragic Chosun dynasty king Gwanghae and the other as a lowly peasant named Hasun who must act as king due to their similar appearance.
He said he received the offer for the role while he was filming G.I. Joe and thought over it for about two months, adding that Hasun’s naïve and funny character was the biggest reason why he chose to do the film.
On acting two roles he said, “Gwanghae was an actual historical figure so I tried to bring what we already know about him while Hasun’s character was something I had to develop from what was written in the script”, adding “it was more difficult to form Hasun’s character than act two different roles”.
The film deals with Gwanghae, fearful of being poisoned, looking for a man to pretend to be king in his place and finding the peasant Hasun and making him king. Actress Han Hyo-joo plays the lonely queen who is loved by Hasun. [Yonhap] |

He continued, “Having known her for a long while now, I came to think she has the ability to brighten the people around her with her heart. However, it was inevitable that the two of us were taken aback when rumors started spreading just as we were beginning our relationship“, revealing the reason as to why the two denied the rumors.
The actor concluded stating, “Now, she has become the person who is most important to me. And I want to continue this relationship in a serious manner.”

Top actors say they are dating
By Cho Chung-un and Lee Woo-young The Korea Herald
Hallyu stars Lee Byung-hun and Lee Min-jung admitted on Sunday that they have been dating since early this year. The two celebrities said they are in a “serious relationship” but denied rumors that they are getting married in November.
“I found someone I want to be with. Now she (Lee Min-jung) has become the most important person for me and I want to take this relationship seriously,” the 42-year-old actor wrote on his official website.
The 30-year-old actress also said, “I want to tell all of you that we are dating as lovers.”
The two have been denying rumors that they have been dating and that their wedding is imminent. However, speculation of the two being involved in a romantic relationship went on as they were spotted having dinner together.
Rumors of the two getting married spread quickly after an industry insider revealed that the two have recently visited a hanbok shop to tailor Korean traditional clothes to get married in November.
“We feel sorry that we were not able to tell the truth but feel responsible to tell our fans first about our relationship,” the actor said.
Lee said that he first met the actress accompanied by his friends many years ago and have exchanging messages since then. “Early this year, we met again in a casual meeting and carefully started to build a relationship,” the actor said.
The actress also apologized to her fans of denying the relationship and said she wanted to tell them after she felt secure and was assured of her romantic relationship with Lee. But she maintained a firm “No” to wedding rumors.
“The November wedding is a false report. We are not doing anything about it,” she added.
The actor has been in the international spotlight since he took a supporting role of the herioic “Storm Shadow” in the recent “G. I. Joe” Hollywood action film series. He recently filmed his first period drama “King of Joseon,” which is slated to be released in late fall.
The actress rose to stardom with the supporting role in the popular teenage drama “Boys over Flowers” in 2008.
She took a leading role in her first romantic comedy “Cyrano Agency” in 2010 and also starred in another romantic comedy film “Wonderful Radio” in 2012. She recently starred in the KBS TV drama “Big,” which ended in late July.

Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung Confirm They are Dating
by ockoala
I didn’t post about the Lee Byung Hun and Lee Min Jung dating rumors back in April because both sides quickly denied it and I figured that if it was true they would reveal it when they were ready otherwise quietly break up and none would be the wiser. My gut instinct told me it was true since it was too far out to be the conjecture of fan shippers, plus rumors had him bringing her to meet his family and that was pretty specific instances of dating. Cut to four months later and finally the rumors can be laid to rest – both Lee Min Jung and Lee Byung Hun have just released public statements mutually confirming their relationship. I….don’t know what to think honestly.
I like them both, but this pairing immediately brings to mind Tom Cruise dating Katie Holmes. We have one huge K-superstar dating a younger up-and-coming actress. They definitely look gorgeous together, but I don’t have a good sense of their real life personalities and interests to say whether or not this is one union that will last. They’ve been dating since early 2012 and when the rumors first broke back in April, it was yet early in their relationship so neither side wanted to confirm it at that time. Understandable. Now they have decided to go public because the relationship has turned serious. But contrary to the latest rumors that a wedding has been scheduled for November, Lee Min Jung has stated that there are no wedding plans at this time. Since it doesn’t matter what I (or anyone else thinks), I want to congratulate the happy couple on finding each other and deciding to go public to share their happiness with their fans!
Lee Byung Hun’s most famous ex-dating history was when he dated young Song Hye Kyo after they did All In together. The relationship lasted for about two years and then quietly ended. Lee Min Jung has never been romantically linked with any public entertainment figure since she entered the industry. There actually isn’t a huge age gap, as Lee Byung Hun was born in 1970 while Lee Min Jung was born in 1982, giving them a twelve year age difference (which is just a year more than Lee Byung Hun and Song Hye Kyo who is a ’81er). I usually try to keep mum about celebrity dating rumors until the couple in question decides to go public, because chances are the rumors are true (where there is smoke there is fire), but that doesn’t matter since that couple can easily break up before walking down the altar.
With that said, since its yet another case of dating-rumors-confirmed, I’ll throw out a couple of long standing dating rumors in K-ent. Gong Yoo has been rumored for a long time to be dating Im Soo Jung, and the rumors even heated up this year that the two secretly got married and filed for a marriage certificate. Both sides continue to deny it. Other notable dating rumors are Kang Ji Hwan and Jang Hee Jin which started in 2010, and most recently Gong Hyo Jin just broke up with Ryu Seung Bum after ten years of dating amidst rumors that she and her Love Fiction co-star Ha Jung Woo are now together. While the above three possible couples remain just rumors, Lee Min Jung and Lee Byung Hun have just outed themselves as Korea’s newest power couple.

Lee Min-jung confirms dating rumor
By Moon Gwang-lip Korea JoongAng Daily
After months of denials, Lee Min-jung acknowledged that she is dating fellow actor Lee Byung-hun.
“I don’t know how to start, [but] I would like to talk about the media reports of romance with senior actor Lee Byung-hun and the rumor of marriage with him,” Lee Min-jung, 30, said on her blog yesterday.
“First of all, I would like to let you know that the two of us are having an earnest meeting as a lover.”
A rumor began to circulate in April that Lee Min-jung and Lee Byung-hun, 42, who starred in Hollywood movie “G.I. Joe,” were dating, but the two actors and their agents all denied it. In the blog, Lee Min-jung said even her parents and her agency did not know about her relationship at the time.
Lee Min-jung said she had much agony and concern as a woman, an actress and a daughter, but mustered the courage to confess. She said she wants to receive fans’ approval on her relationship with Lee Byung-hun, with whom she said she had consulted.
Still, Lee Min-jung denied the marriage. “There is nothing fixed,” she said.

We wanted to tell our fans the good news so we both took the decision to post a message on our official website. We wanted to take the time to know each other and that is why we hesitated before, we also didn’t hope for confusion to ensue. But at the same time we thought it regrettable not to share the news with our fans as we wanted to celebrate with fans, and be happy together and receive your congratulatory messages. In regards to the recent rumors of a November marriage, Lee Min Jung stated, ” The rumors about the November planned wedding are unfounded. And naturally, it is not true that I went to a hanbok fitting session. We aren’t ready for that step yet and nothing of the kind has been planned as of now.”
Lee Min Jung also revealed, “Even though we are still being careful and taking things slowly, if there is good news to be shared in the future, we will tell you first. I did a lot of thinking and worried a lot as a woman, an actress and a daughter before mustering the courage to speak up. I hope to be even more happy with your love and support. Thank you.”
We wish the couple lots of happiness!

Hallyu star Lee Byung-hun and actress Lee Min-jung have admitted that they are in a romantic relationship, which turns out to have begun early this year.
On Sunday, both Lee Byung-hun and Lee Min-jung posted handwritten statements on their official websites acknowledging their budding romance.
The pair have finally admitted to being together after reports and rumors surfaced as they were spotted together having dinner at a wedding in March.
However, their relationship regained spotlight earlier this week when news broke out that the two were planning on a November wedding after visiting a Hanbok [traditional Korean costume] shop.
Lee Min-jung's statement read, "As a woman, an actress and a daughter, I had many worries and concerns but now I have the courage to speak out about our relationship. I hope that with the support of the public that we can continue on with our relationship as a happy couple."
"We are still careful about the future, and we are quite serious about one another and we will be the first ones to announce to the public on any other news about us."
Additionally, Lee also left a personal message on his official website saying, "I am writing this letter just a few weeks before leaving Korea to focus on my acting activities overseas in 2012. I have found someone that I want to be with. That is why we have both made the decision to tell our fans about our relationship."
Lee continued, "I first got to know Lee Min-jung at a gathering with other actors and slowly yet carefully began our relationship after we met each other again early this year. But we were taken aback and extremely hesitant once rumors broke out about relationship."
"However, we apologize for not telling our fans first about our relationship......we extend our deepest apologizes to our families, fans and our agencies for not coming clean with the truth though we ask for your understanding."
He ended his letter saying, "Now, I can surely say that I have found that important person in my life and we hope to seriously maintain our relationship."
Lee Byung-hun, one of Korea's most well-recognized actors and a household name in Japan as well, made his Hollywood debut in 2009 through the first “G.I. Joe" flick as character Storm Shadow.
He recently attended a press conference to promote his forthcoming film "Masquerade" and will be heading overseas to shoot "Red 2."
Lee Min-jung is best known for playing the role of Ha Jae-kyung in SBS' hit teenage series "Boys Over Flowers" and landed her first lead role in SBS' weekend drama "Smile, You" opposite actor Choung Kyung-ho.
The actress has also appeared in films "Searching for the Elephant (2009)," "White Night (2009)" and "Cyrano Agency (2010)." She last starred in KBS' romantic comedy "Big" opposite actor Gong Yoo.
