Jakim: Products used fake Halal logo

KUALA LUMPUR: Rice noodles or rice vermicelli bearing the mosque label has never been issued with halal certificate, said the Islamic Development Department (Jakim).

Its Halal Hub Division director, Hakimah Mohd Yusoff said the halal logo used on the products was its own and this was against the Trade Description Act 2011 and the Trade Descriptions (Certification and Marking of Halal) (Order 2011).

Jakim's statement was prompted by pictures of unhygienic and dirty preparations of the mosque brand rice vermicelli at a factory in Jalan Ipoh here going viral. On the 'ABC Saus Manis' (soy sauce) allegedly using liquor bottles, Hakimah said they were fake ones and did not have the Jakim halal logo.

"The products were rebottled at a factory not registered with the local council and the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry had taken action following complaints from the public," he said.

Hakimah said the genuine 'ABC Saus Manis' was produced in Indonesia and issued with halal certificate by the Indonesian Ulama Council and recognised by Jakim. – Bernama

Kena la u beli tauhu yg dalam packet ada 2 ketul tuh pasni.yang tu nampak mcm buat kat kilang btol hahaha.Masa kena serbu tu memang tunjuk tauhu tu derang letak atas lantai je.Lantai jenis konkrit basah dan kotor.
Memang tak patut la.patut tutup je terus tempat macam tu

Koto betul. Tak patut sungguh cina tu menggunakan gambar mesjid tapi menjanjikan. Walaupun aku bukan melayu tetapi aku rasa simpati dengan kawan kawan semua kerana cina tu menggunakan gambar tempat suci orang Islam tapi tempat dan cara buatan koto. Aku harap kawan kawan melay ambil tindakan sewajarnya.
